I really do have acid for blood. All this nasty humidity is taking it's toll on our beloved Austrian iron:

Dang... I sweat like a whore in church and I've never rusted a Glock. You should reconsider your diet or see a doctor or something... That's just unnatural...

I had a G43 rust to the point that it wouldn't fire. Nothing but sweat.

You're thinking the Japanese Nambo circa 1944.

I have two, carry neither, both bloom rust spots if the slightest bit neglected.
I wipe everything down after range trips.
The first one rusted in a safe beside a blued 1911 that didn't.

I’ve carried a G43 for nearly three years in my pocket or leather OWB every day. No rust.

Beer, and additional carbs seem to keep my PH in balance.

Is your holster made of steel or did you just chain that thing to the back of your truck for 10 miles or so.

You need more salt in your diet. It’s the cake sweats.

Could just be specific to your chemical anatomy. Years ago I dated a girl who couldn't wear gold jewelry under 20k, otherwise it immediately turned the skin it contracted black. Not over time, right now.

It’s your chemical make up. Know a guy who I ride bikes with. His sweat ate through the top tube of his steel bike. It took years to do it but it happened.

Smart man. I'll go ahead and answer it anyway.

I took a Gen 4 G19 in on trade, had very minor rust spot but heavy slide wear from bolstering but frame was in good shape minus the former owner putting super glue on it to hold down the talon grips.

I rocked it as was just heavily oiled until a ship I really like their work started taking work again and I sent it off to be black nitride and have front serrations done

Amateur. This is my go-to working gun and it lives in a leather backed Chiefjason holster.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
