Why is that?I fear the groups who don't protest
I would assume logic similar to this thread: https://www.carolinafirearmsforum.com/index.php?threads/the-most-dangerous-man-in-the-room.15172/Why is that?
That is a great point WaylonI would assume logic similar to this thread: https://www.carolinafirearmsforum.com/index.php?threads/the-most-dangerous-man-in-the-room.15172/
In the case of organizations, it's the ones spending all the money and pulling all the strings behind the scenes...putting people in positions of authority and with decision-making powers in government and private industry.
And yes, at the same time, you can't ignore those making a bunch of noise due to the "rally the troops" mentality you mention.
I don't fear a enemy I can see, I fear the one I cannot.Why is that?
My thought is (and we might differ on this, thats cool) that when these groups protest they make it seem 'ok' for people to have these thoughts, people become more active in the 'cause' etc
This will lead to more brazen acts like we're seeing from Antifa.
They have a constitutional right to protest, but I dont see any good coming of this.
So, do we ignore it or do we oppose it? If we do nothing then we’ll be lumped in with them.
By we I mean white gun owners with a proclivity for liberty and personal responsibility.
You can say it doesn’t matter, but white southerners stood by while hate groups used the symbols of the civil war to spread their beliefs, and now it’s become about those symbols. This will go the same way and it’ll be used against us in a big way when politics swings back toward the left. This may well be the best time to try to build relationships with moderate folks.
I agree Jim - its like Muslims who do not speak out against radicals, many will say that since they arent outspoken they are in support.
We CAN NOT let this happen with us
Your Muslim comparison is spot on, wish I’d thought of it!
I wonder if @GRNC would step outside their lobbying mandate to help coordinate something?
Even if the march never happens, or is a tiny affair, that we get organized and reach out only helps us in the long run.
Why is it not "OK" for these people to have those thoughts? Why is that?

Because its ignorant as heck to hate someone simply because of their religion, not the 'right' color skin or some other superficial garbage. Why is it not "OK" for these people to have those thoughts?
I don’t care that these people have these thoughts, or even that they march and sing all the old favorite nazi and white supremacy theme songs, I care that this tiny minority will claim to represent all white conservatives and especially those that are gun owners. And, even if they do not, the media will say that they do so they can vilify all of us.
I’d love to do a bbq, but i’m Trying to think a little further out than lunch.
Doing this unarmed wouldn’t bother me in the least.
Interesting opportunity to bring together the various gun forums.
Again, even if all we do is have a few groups send open letters saying that we support 1a and 2a, but we do not support the beliefs of these folks, that’d generate positive press at low cost, with no personal risk, and with upside even if they never get the permit to march.
I know many of you think that I’m nuts, but this is part of the long play to win the hearts and minds of those that are currently indifferent.
I see, but it's ok for you to decide what others think & do. I'm glad you've elevated yourself to that position. Their march is no different than the BLM thugs marching & calling for the killing of cops. And I don't see or hear those groups blocking highways & rioting. But you go right ahead & support the rioters & cop killers. And I won't be at either god damn protest.Because its ignorant as heck to hate someone simply because of their religion, not the 'right' color skin or some other superficial garbage.
But you do you, enjoy your protest!
When have I EVER supported BLM? I think they are idiots too!I see, but it's ok for you to decide what others think & do. I'm glad you've elevated yourself to that position. Unless it generates controversy, it won't get much free press. As the Eagles say, "Give us dirty laundry."
Just the nature of the group will assure coverage, the press eats this stuff up, exaggerating as necessary to show stupidity in the south.
You guys really don’t see how this paints us all with one brush do you?
I'm organizing a "BBQ, NOT HATE" rally. Who's in?
Mustard, dang itAs long as we have both vinegar and molasses based sauce...you know, inclusiveness and stuff lol
There you go...next thing you know, the smoked meat guys are gonna start fussin lolMustard, dang it
You're free to support any cause you please in my book or sit in the middle & throw accusations at both sides. When have I EVER supported BLM? I think they are idiots too!
I am not in favor of cop killing, tearing down statues, or any of that stuff.
Im also not in favor of racism, which this group is preaching by the sound of it.
Neither side is doing good things. Both sides are acting like fools.
But please, show where I support rioters and cop killings. I'll make a pot of coffee, cause its going to be a LONG wait to hear back on that.

Who are the real Americans though?I will not be at the either protest I'm sick of all this crap going on this country. Sooner or later the real Americans are going to get tired of it then you can bet your whatever I'm in 100%
If they don't like our beliefs who and what we represent they can just go move in with the Little Rocket Man and maybe he will Enlighten them.
