Hello!
My laundry room has an attached room (behind the wall in the pic). I'd like to combine both (turning the door that's in the behind room into the window) by opening a hole in the wall for a walkway to the right of the electrical panel box.

Any Electricians here to expand on the residential building code for this Wall is roughly 7.5 feet wide.

Is there a min width for the passage, maybe defined by the fire folks? I’m sure that you want to avoid moving the panel.
Load bearing?
Also, looks like you’ve got electrical and plumbing to relocate, in some areas that can mean bringing parts or those systems up to code…assuming you permit the project.

Sorry, you didn’t ask about any of that, just trying to be helpful.

Thanks! There is just an outlet and the plumbing that needs addressed. You can see the wiring from the panel from the otherside (the room behind the wall) when you take off parts of the unfinished drywall.
