Being that this is posted in the training section, that was a rhetorical question. Of course y'all want to get better, or you wouldn't be here to begin with.

With that goal in mind, how many of you would find value in creating a "Drill of The Month" thread here or even it's own section. The purpose being to come up with a drill that members could execute throughout the month, video themselves conducting and posting the results here for feedback and critique. With the ultimate goal being helping one another to find success and sharpen up our individual skills.

Who would be up for it? Any takers?

Do you really want a video of yourself practicing to kill someone loose on the internet?? Think about that.....
While that's a good point, it is true that YouTube is full of such videos - and YouTube hates us!

You practice to kill people? I thought only murders did that?

I practice to improve my marksmanship skills, so that in a lethal force encounter I don't end up missing the individual who's threatening actions I was trying to stop. It really helps to minimize liability if you don't hit an innocent person with an errant round. Would I want a jury of my peers to see that I was actively attempting to improve my skill set to that end? Why yes, I believe I would. But, to each his own.

Also, you do realize that firearms (and drills that are shot with them) can be utilized to have fun from a sport and pure marksmanship perspective, right?

This! ^^^

I'm very interested in not hitting an innocent bystander!
If I can figure out how to video myself, I'm in!
Nobody needs training more than I do.

You may be in a better position than you think Millie!

When you all post your videos and whatnot, I'll be ready with my popcorn for the comments ripping you to shreds. Just saying

Didn't I see a thread about the 5x5 drill, asking us to do it and post results? Or did I have too much Bailey's the other night? I did the drill (as best I can) and have pics (no video), but where to post?

I can’t figure out how to upload a video file to forum. Giving me error messages

At least you got video! I can't figure out how to video myself, much less actually post it!

Yeah video is either from my wife or shooting buddy. Video yourself definitely not straight forward unless stationary. In that case, with an iPhone, I would set the recorder to the camera on screen side and set it down on a table behind me or on some shooting sticks or something.

youre also the cool kid around here, you won’t have trouble finding some willing labor.

Me, cool? lol.
I'm the un-cool-est person ever! But thanks!

I might be able to prop my (non i) phone up by the divider and hope for the best.
(At least this new phone has the camera that faces both ways, so at least you can see what's being captured while it's being done!)

I still have time to work on that, while y'all figure out how to post all the videos we're all going to be making!

CQ rifle/pistol transitions w/ pistol mag changes (Rifle has 22lr upper on for safety and cost)

Do not currently belong to a range where I can do drill of the month, but have some prior videos where advise on technique/general improvement is welcome.

You don't have a range, or they don't allow drills there?

I've been doing the Wiz on paper at my range, and even did my version of the 5x5 drill...though all with no timer....which I now have, as it came early! lol.

My issue will be getting video, and posting it...lol. But I now know what to do to post it. Can I do it? We shall see.

alright was able to load last few...

Was hoping to get some tips and advise from our competitive shooters, dang. I make my heart vulnerable to you guys/gals, exposing my insecurities to the world and nada :)
