Any suggestions for a good plate carrier that won’t break the bank? Budget is $0 to $200.

I have a ferro concepts slickster, great plate carrier in my opinion but it's just class usage and some personal practice I have never "been there" nor "done that".

I like the idea of a slick carrier that I can swift clip my chest rig in and out of, just offers more flexibility.

i went with a crye jpc 2.0 a little out of your budget. But shortly after i saw a few 1.0s on facebook market place for around 100-150. I regret buying a PC and kitting it out first. I highly suggest you build out a duty belt first.

Depends what you plan to do with it. You want a slick one that can hide under a jacket? Or one that you’re gonna put a mag placard, pouches, etc on?

As stated above, the JPC 2.0 is a good choice and can be found used for 200 bucks. The JPC 1.0 is also a good option but has built in mag pouches that cannot be removed.

Ferro makes good stuff as well. Never heard of redemption tactical.

I'll take you down the same path I took based on another thread (and someone else's advice, although I can't recall who) last year.

Midwest Armor is a site supporter. They offer some good prices right off the bat, but if you join this site as a paying member, I think you can get an even better deal.

They have the HILO plate carrier and I went with it-liking the look and function AND modularity. It's something between a "slick" and a full on "tactical" rig. I have NOT worn it for any training or extended periods of time yet but it sits in the back of a company vehicle for the time being.
