Looking for a little feedback on these. Will probably be a fun shooter only. Ive been looking at the 605 for a long time and more recently the 905. Seems like the 692 will fit both in one.

I have tons of other pistols from 9mm to 44 mag and 45acp, just no revolver in 357 or 9mm. Hoping its going to fill a gap ( that honestly doesnt need to be filled, i just dont have one lol! )

I never knew something like that existed. Kind of ingenious.

The caveat of a semiautomatic round in a revolver is using moonclips. They’re a pain to load and unload from the clips.

I have a 22 LR/WMR REVOLVER but I find myself using the 22 LR more.

no experience w the 692 (but maybe now that i know about it!). i love the idea.

i do have a chiappa rhino that shoots 9mm, 38 and 357 and a 9mm LCR

second on the demooning and loading tools for moon clips

i’m always surprised by how snappy 9mm is through a revolver.

i guess the slide cycling in a semi-auto really reduces the felt recoil

I have the 3" stainless 692... Its awesome. Handles .357 well with the ported barrel and the moon clips are fun for speed reloading the 9mm. Changed the grips to the Hogue rubber, and the front sight is for a S&W 617. The holster is from G-Code.

I fondled one of the at FG&G this week. Great price, but I made the mistake of touching AFTER I just handled a S&W Model 19...

The ergos were good but the DA trigger was a BRUTE...

Not sure how easy is it is to slick up a taurus trigger but it would be great after that.

Probably fine for shooting bears that are trying to eat you and whatnot but i don't see it going to the range a bunch for fun...

Well I finally pulled the trigger. LGS had a used one for a deal I couldnt pass up. Wanted stainless but it will do for now.

Put a few rounds through it yesterday afternoon. Shoots very well for what it is. With the ported barrel I cant really even tell a difference between 9, 38 or 357s other than sound. It doesnt like to eject steel case 9mm with the moon clips at all but after a few more rounds hopefully that cylinder will loosen up some. If not I have plenty of brass I guess!

Vp9c, you are right about the trigger. It is a beast for sure, hope that with a little work it will loosen up some.

I also picked up a model 66 last month. For the price and being both are just range toys, Id buy another! IMO they shoot just as good as my super redhawks and sp101. Just not as pretty!
