Anyone here ever hike to the top of Angel's Landing in Zion NP? This has been one of my bucket list items for awhile, but I recently watched a go-pro video someone posted while climbing it and now I'm not so sure about it! I knew there were places without the chain support, but it looks like a couple of them are also the same place where the foot path is only about 18 inches wide.

Yes, and it was fricken awesome!!!!!! Last Sept.
If you are not comfortable with heights, and passing people going the other way, it may not be for you.
It can be quite crowded.
I'm going to do it again. Just not sure when yet.

Yep. Gonna do that in July for my 4x b-day. I don't plan on falling or meeting angels. It's Utah, it's the desert and it's July. And we're going thru the week, so I hope the heat keeps people out of my way.

We're also hiking the Grand Canyon later on that week, so should have some decent stories.

Everyone that I've spoken to who has hiked it says to start early. Otherwise it gets crowded and you'll wind up having to pass a bunch of people on the way down who are going up.

We are camping inside the park so I plan on starting the hike at dawn [emoji16]

I hiked it part way up the chain part, then decided that while it was good, it wasn't worth dying for. You know what's scarier than that? Watching your son doing it.
