I've always wanted one, so it's high on my wish list for the new barn/shop.
Trying to figure out which die sets to get.
Looking at the JD2-32 manual bender.
Just wondering what the most commonly used round tubing sizes are for such things as roll bars/cages.
As for square, I think that 1" and 1.5" would be all that I'll ever use.

I used to have a Rogue Fab M605 bender(weld together kit). Used it for a couple sets of rock sliders and some a-pillar bars for a cage on a jeep.
Also had a JD2-32 with the swag offroad air/hydraulic ram mount for a short time that I only used for 1 bend before selling.

Both benders seemed well built, just didn't use them enough to justify keeping after I sold my offroad trucks.

From my experience with off-roading, 1-3/4" DOM was most commonly used for rock sliders, bumpers and roll cages

I like where this post is going. My rollbar is 1.75 Docal R8

Interesting! Never heard of this tube before. Just watched a video the weldability of Docal R8.....thumbs up!

Me either until I found this rollcage. I wanted something that didn’t have the X brace in the rear window blocking my view since I’m driving it on the road. I’m doing so you lose a little bit of strength in a rollover situation so when I started reading about a square rear it said if they use a stronger than DOM tubing you actually come out better strength wise with square versus the X

Check out the SWAG Offroad products.

I have a basic manual pipe bender operated by a hydraulic Jack. It works well for roll cage material, but the Swag is a nicer setup, especially the motorized version.

What they said, most roll cage tubing is 1.75, usually .090 to .125 thick.

I have plans for a diy that uses an eng hoist cylinder I bought the air over one. I'll get the name if anyone is interested in it you can (well could) get the plans off ebay for $10 or less.

Think this is it.

Very interesting! Thanks for the link.

I have owned a JD squared model 3 for going on 20 yrs. No complaints with it. I converted it to hydraulic very soon though.
