How much was the Sunbelt rental for ditchwitch? Rental time period?

About $152 for 24 hours, insurance and trailer included. I rented it late in the evening so half day was not an option. Only really needed it for about 45 minutes.

Something I learned a couple weeks ago from a member here that worked out well...not necessarily applicable in an emergency situation, but figured I'd pass it along.

The Sunbelt rental place closest to me is closed on Sat & Sun. You can rent something, pick it up after 12p on Friday, and as long as you have it back by 9a on Monday you only get charged for one day. I got a log splitter for $100 and used it all weekend.

Helped neighbor replace from meter to house. Guy was pretty smart. We dug down beside the bad pipe. Then he laid 2" PVC in the trench. Then we slid copper pipe through the 2" PVC pipe to the house. I've been in construction a long time but I have never seen it done this way. He said that if ever breaks again he can simply pull it out again and check for the leak.
