For some unknown reason, bullpups have always interested me, but I've never owned one. PSA has a Turkish made Panzer BP12 on sale, mag fed semi auto. Looks cool, better reviews than the Black Aces version.

Anyone here tried one out?

I will as soon as it arrives, I just gave in and ordered one.

Everything I read that wasn't obvious "Turkish, must be garbage" said that you need to clean it and lube it, put in the low power thingy and shoot a bunch of cheap shells and after a hundred rounds or so it will run fine. Seems like everyone saying otherwise didn't do this from what I can tell.

So, got it the other day and I'm pretty pleased so far. Wasn't caked in grease, just well lubed with appropriate lubricant. Metalwork was cleaner and less haphazard than I was expecting and everything feels smooth.

I stripped it down and put it back together to check on it, loaded some 5 and 10 round mags with cheap birdshot and will go break it in as soon as I can, but I'm short of places to shoot right now.

The knockoff magpul folding irons are probably the worst part of it and they actually are better than most of the cheap copies I've seen. I'll be going with a red dot once I've broken it in a bit.

Overall I'm pleasantly surprised, but then again I haven't shot it yet lol

OK weird coincidence I had literally just pulled up at home from testing this thing when my post here got a like, saving me from having to find the thread.

Just ran all four mags once each (2x 5s, 2x 10s). Using the cheapest Federal blue box 2.75" #4 birdshot. Gun had been left with the bolt back for a few days as suggested elsewhere.

Zero malfunctions, zero FTFeeds, zero break-in needed, just 4 mags of blasting fun. Recoil was gentle compared to a pump, no doubt from the gubbins inside.

Split the mags with my exe's boy since it was her land and his earpro (forgot mine) and it was just a hoot. Ran like a well oiled machine so I'm guessing they fixed any gen1 cheap ammo issues. Very happy indeed.

$399.99 at the moment too
Yep, that's what I paid. This thing is fun as hell to shoot, wish I'd had more time and ammo. I need to find something worth wrecking with some mags of slugs lol

Ergos it's a bullpup so the controls are in weird places, but you can really get this thing in right. I imagine the brevity of it combined with how much is inside your grip would make it a demon in a close environment. If it keeps flying right this may end up as my HD gun.

Mine has arrived, but no range action yet. Maybe this coming week if things calm down a bit.

Where did you get the 10 rnd mags?

Primary Arms because I was ordering 20rders for my AR already. Decent price though.

I even found mag pouches that definitely work with the 5rders,and take the 10s but waggle a bit.

I picked up an Escort BTS 12 Bullpup last month. Over 200 shots and it's been flawless. Patterned great too.

Turkish shotguns are underrated. I have two others for trap and have no regrets

I want even messing with patterns, I wanted to know if it would run with the cheapest ammo.

Next step is optic and patterning. I'm trying to decide between buckshot and a choke (the gen 2 comes with 3 chokes) or cylinder bore and being able to have a mag of slugs on hand for whatever needs slugs.

I also picked up a used Hatsan Escort pump off here a while back and it's got the slickest action I've ever felt in a shotgun. Thing feels like it has greased glass rails. Not all Turk shotguns are junk apparently.

These are the mag pouches I found. The belt loops are very loose even on a Fatboy but I've got molle two bar adapters arriving to replace the loops, so I can slap these on a vest or belt if I need to.

All 200 were RIO Shotshells....it loves the cheap stuff

I'm honestly just glad that it runs out the box, I've only shot one cheap semiauto shotgun before and it was more like a bolt action.

I've even got a nice optic on the way for it, one of the Primary Arms prisms, dot and circle. They have holdover info for 12g slug using their ladder reticle and the circle is a close match for buckshot pattern at 25yds.

I stuck a Monstrum 1x on there just because I don't like rifle sights on a shotgun, but after I got done shooting there was black debris all over the glass inside so I guess the recoil shook some dirt loose from manufacturing. Shame because it seems like a decent little optic, especially as I paid the price of a Chinesium red dot for it.
