So I have this new tractor. It has taken a beating on one side. The way the fender is made is there is a flat side with the top of the fender spot welded to the flat. The flat needs to be replaced. Anyone know anyone that does this sort of thing? I can drive to Charlotte, GSO,wherever if you can do it. The pics make it look worse than it is. You can see the spot welds have come out in the first pic. That flat side is what needs to be replaced and get the fender squared back up again. Dont need to paint it, but we can talk about that later.

How about a cut up half of a galvanized washtub? Those would never wear out ;)

Literally where the phrase "tubbing our your tires" came from in hot-rod speak

I love stuff like this, but we're too far apart.

Can you not just buy a replacement and mount?
I wish. Damn those big fenders are expensive, if you can even find them.

And the flat inner part bolts straight to the tractor. Not any special mounts or anything. Which is kinda nice.

Year make and model ? In the past few weeks I've been researching tractor stuff. I'd be willing to bet they make direct fit replacements.

I love doing that kind of stuff but without it here in front of me to see what needs to be done I can't committ to it and I don't want you to drive that far for me to possibly say no. I do fab work and small sheet metal repairs on all kinds of stuff but I like knowing what I have in front of me first. If you can't find any one else and run out of options then pm me.

I certainly will. I visit Jayne down in Apex every few months. Id be able to bring them down one trip.
