You guys missed a good class Saturday with scoped carbine. We had damp cold and mist with occasional light drizzle. Ground was sodden and laying down or kneeling soaked whatever touched the ground. I can't say i as enthusiastic and definitely dragged my feet some, but i learned a lot about working close and intermediate range with a low power optic. I have to say a low variable power with illuminated reticule like the Burris that JM had was pretty nice. I think with practice it could be about as fast as my MRO. I was surprised that the Burris is descent, they used to be synonymous with low end scopes.

I too was really impressed with his whole setup!

I am, was just looking for requirements, 500 rounds of ammo, lol

That's about normal. Most i have ever shot in a class is 850. If things are going slowly you'll shoot a bit less. I will try to shoot a bit more if i can. I told him last week he needs to break the norm and REQUIRE steel cased ammo, makes cleaning up the cases eezy breezy. Ryan wasn't crazy about the idea, you would have though i my idea was covered in poo from the looks i got. Evidently some lesser guns don't like steel cased ammo. All mine like it. I was just trying to HELP! I thought it was a swell idea. :)

I just had a spot open up in Tac Med 101 tomorrow! So there is ONE availability! 4 spots left in Defensive Handgun 1 on Sunday, next Saturday is full, and 3 spots left in Defensive Rifle 1 next Sunday! Hope to fill these! Guys come on out and train with us!

If you don't have any medical training you should seriously consider the Apex class tomorrow. I have taken it twice now. The first time is a brain dump and you'll need to pay attention and take notes. Second time a bunch of it sunk in. I need to take it once again. At least every year. Bring your TQ's if you have them.

I could not agree more! I think every responsible citizen should take a medical class, and every CCW holder should take Tac Med
