Watched two documentaries this week.

1. Apollo 11 - CNN
All archival footage of the event. Very interesting. Had no idea some of that footage existed.

2. Secrets in the Sky: The Untold Story of Skunk Works - History
Really liked this one. Always been a fan of the SR-71. Also has lots of info on the U-2, F-117 and several others.

I’d recommend both.

Big ++ on the Apollo 11, even "if" from CNN... just a technical marvel to piece all of that footage together for a reasonable story line.

It sure was better than in 1969 on the TV had then....

I watched “Secrets in the Sky” this morning. As a Skunk Works geek and big admirer of the U2 and SR-71, I too found it very good. A great read on the subject with a lot of in-depth detail and great stories on same subject is Ben Rich’s book, “Skunk Works: A Personal Memoir of My Years at Lockheed”.

I second the book by Ben Rich about the Skunk Works. A great read. I lent my grandson the copy I had.

What those guys accomplished with just sliderules is amazing.
