Nice! They introduced the SUURG right after I ordered my UU Grendel. I'm not mad about it, I'm actually happy as it made the decision easier lol.
I'm at 2 weeks on my upper, so hoping to be seeing something soon, as I am anxious to get it!
What lower are you going with? Is that still a 15 platform or is it 10?
15 platform. I had a larue lower sitting around from years ago when you were able to buy them. Finally going to put it to use.
Is that the STS Ambi? That's a damn good looking piece of kit.
Edit. I see it's the M4E1. If I can find those for $70 or so, I think I need a few!

Got some new FN barrels in. Difference between Crane's cut down 10.3" Govt profile and FN's new 10.3" SOCOM bbls. Gas port is a measured .070"
The parts: FN bbl, upper, BC and bolt, DD RIS II Mk18, PRI CH, SF4P FH and KAC front sight. Rest of parts are all govt contracted. Only thing that's used was the Forward Assist, almost selected a teardrop M16.
Assembled and installed on select fire lower w/SSF trigger. Second we built this week with FN bbl. Bit heavier up front of course. Wish I could build these at home, but as is its DoD property downrange.

How much heavier is the FN barrel vs the cutdown Crane? Mine is a cut down FN gov profile barrel.
Got a SF can for that flash hider?
Are these custom built to an individuals requests/needs or are they ordered by a specific unit? I have allways wondered how much input individuals have on rifle setup. These barrels are USSOCOM specs. NSW Crane cuts down 14.5" bbls to 10.3" and opens up the gas port to .070. Barrels are then dimpled for a low profile gas block and rethreaded to 1/2x28. The FN barrels are the SOCOM heavy bbls to the same specs. These barrels are used on 10.3" URG/Mk18 guns. Don't have a scale to weigh the barrels unfortunately and we do have the proper SF SOCOM suppressors.

Can you recommend a 10" 300BLK barrel for pistol length gas? Primary concern is accuracy.
I ended getting this.. it was too good of a deal to pass up. I haven’t shot it or even decided what scope it needs..

Got a new upper and lower today for the shorty. Going to be on the lookout for deals, but while the Form 1 is being processed, it will be put on the back burner mostly. Have ATF forms for fingerprints and ordered the fingerprint pad as well today.
Planned out a AR10 in 308 or 6.5CM when I got time this afternoon. Going 20" with rifle gas.
