The utter simplicity of this set up makes me like it more every time I pick it up.
I added a Vietnam era top mount sling setup, and added the tape to the hand guards earlier this week.
It's still a work in progress.

The CZ Bren 2 three prong flash suppressor arrived today, so spun off the A2 compensator and snugged on the CZ.

SEALs and other SOF types added it to their rifles to break up the weapons outline in the jungle.
They also used burlap strips, but I've not progressed that far yet.
Always thought it looked pretty cool

First AR finally arrived after a 3 month backorder. Got home and immediately outfitted it with all the goodies I have been stashing away.
Super happy with how it turned out. Now to shoot it and zero the optic.

Built the lower out for this upper locally. I have a great shop that sells great AR parts at really good prices on stuff they use. They will then ensemble the parts for you for free.

Now to pick out a scope.

Just making sure it’s pretty close to what they are using today back in my day we had the a2 and if we were lucky had the eotech on to of the carry handle

My first TO weapon was M9. Then the M4 with A2 rail and round handguards. We used duct tape and zip ties for mag lights. The flat top receivers and iron sights. Eventually we got Aimpoints, ACOGs, and EOTechs. I know some people here are old enough for their first weapon to be a musket and hatchet.

The vault is a Truck Vault. Using certain hook/loop backed retention pieces to hold the AR in place and the 2 mags on the side wall.

It's an 11" PWS with a Turbo K on the end. It's my primary gun (for good reason) and I will never change it unless I go through with getting the 10.5" LWRC IC-A5.

I had that grip (actually I still have it, somewhere), but too big for my circus midget hands. I have tried so many, keep coming back to the ol' A2 grip.

That's funny because my hands are stupid small as well. I'm all palm with shorter fingers. I really love the Moe+ and K2+. But the LMT Ergo is so good to me, despite it being extra fat. I think it's the material and the contour.

Ive got silly small hands, too.
I run a MOE+ on my big honkin Grendel, and it feels amazing, but I prefer the SL on my others. The slimmer countour is a huge plus for my little hands, plus I run a fixed carbine stock instead of an adjustable one, so the steeper angle feels better with those particulsr length of pulls.
