AR Scope Mounts

I put a Bushnell AR-223 scope (pulled on out of the closet) on a PSA AR15. I used a set of Nikon P-223 mounts. The magnification ring on the scope is so big that It is pressing against the mount causing it not to turn. Looking for a set of mounts that is maybe 1/8 higher. Open to suggestions.
 
Was it in the instructions? We all learn from stuff like this!
 
BP, no, the scope and mounts are about 3 years old. Both were bought off websites forums. Was not thinking when I put them on the gun except I wanted both monuts on the receiver. If you line them up wrong one will be on the receiver and one on the forearm rail.
 
Trust me: I have done far dumber stuff on guns.
 
I've mounted Magpul MBUS sights on backwards AND taken pics of the rifle to show off ;)

PS they work backwards also. So do scope mounts.

That's only impressive if you put the post sight near the stock and the peep near the muzzle. ;)
