Need some help!!! I have a modlite on Arisaka side mount on my bcm rifle. Went to the range this morning and noticed the flashlight became loose from the mount while shooting. I went to remove Arisaka mount from rifle but could only get one screw loose. The other will not budge using the same Allen Wrench size. I have tried other sizes with no help. Anyone have any advice ? I don’t want to continue and end up stripping it.

Have you completely removed the other screw/locknut?

What type of rail is it mounted to? Al? Ti?

Lay it on it's side, screw up and place a drop or 2 of Kroil or other penetrating oil and let sit overnight.
If that doesn't work, get a sottering iron hot and place on the screw and let it get warm.
Then put more penetrating oil on it and let it sit overnight again.

Don't use an allen key... those are Torx T20. You probably over-torqued it when installing initially.

Use a torque wrench when installing. 30in-lbs max for mlok.
That is very useful!!! I will try a torx bit to see if I can get it. Thank you

The mount is canted as well, may not have torqued properly to begin with and twisted in the rail before ending up in a bind.

Torx bits, blue loc tite and witness marks are your friend.

Update: Torx screwdrivers purchased and due to my error in using Allen wrench is now stripped . Any ideas on getting it off. I know dumb mistake!!!!

Can you get a flat blade to catch two of the points?

Update 2: I bought a set from Lowe’s called Grabit due to being desperate. I am happy to say that it worked for me. The reviews were horrible but luckily it worked for me. So light was taken off with blue locktite added. Replacement screw ordered from Arisaka . Thank you everyone for your ideas and knowledge.
