If there's a way to save a buck, I'm all over it. :D

A guy posted over on the Smith forum that he found a rubber wheel chock at Harbor Freight that would work for him in place of investing $20, $30 or more on an "official" block. I paid less than $7 for it OTD using a 20% off coupon. One serious chunk'a rubber.

I use a practice hockey puck, it is white.
I was on the lookout for one of those but could never find one as cheap as $7. :)

I got mine for cheap, have a brother that plays. If you want to try one they can be had for a fair price from Amazon, search white training hockey puck, I think $5 or $6.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is this for exactly?
I guess you haven't pounded out the pin to change the grip panels on your HK pistol. ;)

I have not, the ones that came on the VP9 felt good enough

As for the hockey pucks = why wouldnt a standard one work? Theyre like 50c
Not, likely, as large as the items being sold by Brownells in the video, but its 50c.

You've got to at least drill some holes in it and maybe route a groove. Can you find me one or two for 50 cents? I'd like to try making one.

By the way, with the VP9SK I carry, I left the pin out and spent several sessions at the range experimenting until I found the combination that seemed to work best. While the pin was out, I used a piece of lightweight wire to keep the panels in.

next time I make an order from one of the hockey people I'll let you know

And I just looked. the 50c ones are limited to one. The others are a buck more. Sorry for misinformation

Liking it even better for $5.

Too hard. The practice ones are lighter and spongier.

I got a used hockey puck on ebay $3. shipped, drilled a few holes in it. Good to Go.
