Snowy weather aside, the Land of Sky Gun Show will be this weekend at the Western NC Ag Center in Fletcher NC.

We will be there. Who else is going?

Looking to trade my AR10 for 1/2 magazine of 9mm. Wish me luck!

Actually, this first show of the year always seems well attended. Ill likely see you there.

Didn’t know about it but I live right down the street if anyone wants to grab a beer after. There is a cool gas station with a bar in it across the street from the Ag Center.

Also still have that STI 1911 9mm for a FTF sale......

Plan to go...when will you guys be there? Only need a few AR parts to complete my builds.
Wishful thinking, but hoping there might be a crossbow dealer there? Waited till after Christmas for an Excalibur Micro 340 TD to go on sale but no such luck.

Whatcha need Larry? My parts bun runneth over.

Planning to be there when the doors open tomorrow morning.

Roads are clear thus far. Most of the snow has melted already.

I will be there at some point tomorrow. Hoping to find a used Shield, XDs9, or PPS M2 at a pandemic-reasonable price. Not holding my breath.

I'll be stuck on the mountain. You guys have a good time.

But they tore down the Circle B BBQ and I'm still pissed about that.

I guess I didn’t live here when that place was there. Always been the gsb to me (gas station bar). Worked at Sierra Nevada for a few years and stopped on the way home.

The circle B was up the road a bit by the freeway but still a popular spot after the gun show.

Bummer can't make it out there today due to work.... Might try and hit it up tomorrow when everything is gone. If anyone catches a good deal on 7.7x58mm for a Arisaka just pm me.

Just got back from the show. JEEE-SUZZZ. $10 to get in. One place had primers for sale that I saw. $150 per k for large rifle. $180 per k for small rifle. They were still for sale when I left.
556 for anywhere from $16 to $20 per 20. 9mm fmj for $60 per 50 at one place, $750 per 1000 at another. 6.5 cm from $40 to $60 per 20. 7.62x39 at $10 per 20.
Plenty of ammo for sale if you wanted it. I bought a bag of those sugar coated roasted pecans (PEE CANS) for the wife and left.

I saw pallets of ammo at dealer tables. I did not see much buying happening.

got to chat with @cubrock for a minute, he was busy as always!

picked up a compact digital NV device that I’ve heard good things about.

Those primers were mine. We sold all the small and large rifle. Have some large pistol still.

You picked a good day to sell primers.

For the last several months, any show I've put primers out, I've sold out or nearly sold out at whatever the current, insane market rate was at the time. When they hit $75 per thousand, people complained to us, while people in line behind them reached around the complainers and cleaned us out. Same thing happened at $100, $150, and now $180. On Gunbroker, they are going for $200-$300 per thousand, sometimes higher. I don't sell them on Gunbroker due to not wanting to mess with hazmat shipping.

Until the ammo market reaches some sort of equilibrium, primer prices are going to stay in the stratosphere. Our reloading supply companies have no projected date for when they can fill backorders. Primers literally trickle in, if they come into the wholesale market at all. The vast majority of them are going to make ammo.

I'd rather see primers back down to $30 a thousand, as I would like to rotate and beef up my personal stock. Who knows when that will be. I don't blame you for thinking current prices are insane. I do, too. But what you saw today is not a fluke.

I’m there. Had a decent day yesterday. Got rid of a bunch of miscellaneous junk. Sold a few guns and picked up a couple. Hopefully today goes just as well.

Some of y’all have booths there?

I think I’m gonna meander on down there. It’s a 5 minute drive.

Got to the door. “No concealed carry”. Not leaving it my Jeep. Oh well.

I have my full size 1911. It was printing a tad. Didn’t want to mess with it. Also never been to a gun show so I didn’t know. Didn’t see anything on the web site.

I guess it makes sense. But you know some people are doing it. Some with possible ill intentions. Same argument as “disarm the law abiding citizens and only criminals are armed.”

Unload your magazine and have ithe gun wire-tied at the door. Carry it however you like.

Sounds like a new IDPA stage start. Shooter starts with a zip tied gun, a pocket full of ammo and an empty magazine. On the buzzer, draw your pocket knife to cut the zip tie.....
