Hey there folks,
I must be a gluten for punishment since I know that I will get the immediate "Gun shows suck" and "They are just overpriced" responses, but I noticed that this weekends show in Ashville didn't have a thread started so I figured I would pass along that indeed there is a show this weekend. This is the one promoted by Mike Kent at the Ag center across from the Ashville Airport.

I would estimate that this show is about 80-90% of a Dixie show in Raleigh. So definitely bigger than the C&E shows, but now quite as big as Dixie.

Hours are 9-5 Saturday, and 10-4 on Sunday.

When after setting up today, I walked around and I saw MANY gun dealers that had prices BELOW box store prices. I did see the typical "private sellers" that are trying to charge retail on top of retail, but if you avoid them and stay with the licensed guys I think you will find that we aren't doing that.

For the reloaders out there, large primers are available at several tables, but be aware that the prices start at $140, and I saw as high as $180 (Those were bench rest primers)

If your in town and happen to visit the show, stop by and say hi.
Also - If you have any brass you are looking to sell off, please bring it in.
Currently we are paying $2.25 - $2.50 per pound for brass (Scrap yard is paying $1.90). If you have a lot (like more than a bucket full), please email me ahead of time so we can coordinate.

And let the hate mail begin :)

How was it? That's one show ive actually never been to.

Never made it

I went with a friend yesterday - I thought it was a very good show, better than the last few there, and a few within a couple of hours away that I've been to. Awaiting my NC CCW, but there were a few handguns that may have come home with me if I did.

There was supposedly a mint HK P7 M8 there, original box, papers, the tools and a few factory mags that went for $2500. If we saw it, my buddy would have scooped it up. I did find a few P7 M13 mags for way less than internet prices, some .22 shotshells for another friend, a few other things. My buddy had an appointment, otherwise I would have done another walk-through and took my time. Was too busy to go back today, but wanted to.

Chatted with @cubrock and @Jilly billbo for a bit. Decent selection, prices seemed to be decent.

Wanted to come home with a Hellcat after handling a couple, but just couldn’t justify it.

Was reminded on several occasions that I sold off my S&W collection far to early and much to cheaply.

I’m frequently reminded that I bought most of my collection far too early. 😢

No kidding. I had a large Smith N Frame collection that I sold far too early.
