Funny conversation with a liberal, very anti-2a friend. This is a white collar guy that had a BLM sign in his yard and lives in NJ. Anyway, he hates guns so much he’s in favor of giving police a period of time where they can shoot to kill anyone with a firearm in public. In his mind, this will get guns off the street and make us all safer. Same guy had an issue when Police in Philly shot a guy with a knife who was lunging at the officers. Should have shot him in the leg, etc. So maybe he’s an all AND nothing kinda guy?
 
My response was that we shouldn’t be surprised that we’ve defunded the police and removed consequences so people act out and some of that is more get shot. And at the same time, you want me to disarm and trust the police to protect. That’s a hard pass for me.

They can start with themselves I guess. Anyone left can can give it a whirl with the rest of us.

I’d say they’re actively doing that and all the blue cities, it’s not really working out that well for them.

As far as pixie dust, I’m really not sure since a few years back one of their officers was literally caught, taking advantage of a cow…
 
So, as AOC says, Some Folks Did Something. Who cares? Cops ran, couldn’t even figure out how to lock a gate. Cops didn’t prevent damage to equipment, did not arrest anyone from the look of it, didn’t shoot anyone. Why were they drawing a salary?
 
What in the actual F#^#?!? This is the first I’ve heard about calls for “ reciprocal violence” … which is a terrible, terrifying, and wholly asinine concept. It’s shocking and more than a bit disturbing for people to want Sooo badly to belong to something and someone that they’d associate themselves with this.

A couple of things: accurately- reciprocal violence would simply mean taking an oath to haunt whomever punched your T box - and

- why isn’t this being investigated as domestic terror radicalization? I never thought I’d say this- but I’m kinda missing old Bush right now…
