Atlanta Police Actively Walking Off Job

Most dangerous man in the world..Don't know what he don't know.
???? Not sure if I’m interpreting your post correctly but I have no misconceptions of being Rambo. If that’s what you’re insinuating, you misunderstood my post.

I don't believe he's talking about you.

I'll go out on a limb and say he's saying that because the ones that don't know what they don't know (your "they," for example), they are dangerous because they have no reason to be cautious.

Am I right? Did I win? Need my address so my prize can be mailed out?

There appears to be very little of this in the local media. So, it appears to be a non-ervent. But, then you read stuf like this...

Atlanta police stage ‘blue flu’–style sick-out in protest of murder charge against officer who shot Rayshard Brooks

ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta police officers called out sick or refused to answer calls Thursday to protest the filing of murder charges against an officer who shot a man in the back, while the interim chief said members of the force feel abandoned amid protests demanding massive changes to policing.

Interim Chief Rodney Bryant told the Associated Press in an interview that the sick calls began Wednesday night and continued Thursday, but said the department has sufficient staff to protect the city. It’s not clear how many officers have called out.

Interim police chief says the department has sufficient staffing to protect the city.

“Some are angry. Some are fearful. Some are confused on what we do in this space. Some may feel abandoned,” Bryant said of the officers. “But we are there to assure them that we will continue to move forward and get through this.”

Prosecutors brought felony murder and other charges against Garrett Rolfe, a white officer who shot Rayshard Brooks after the 27-year-old black man grabbed a Taser and ran, firing it at the officer, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard.

Howard said that Brooks was not a deadly threat at the time and that the officer kicked the wounded black man and offered no medical treatment for over two minutes as he lay dying. Another officer, Devin Brosnan, who the district attorney said stood on Brooks’s shoulder as he struggled for his life, was charged with aggravated assault and violation of his oath.

Violation of his oath, eh?

Saw this posted on the web...

If you thought the police used excessive force ? Wait until the average citizen starts protecting family and all they worked for !

You have no idea what’s coming.”

I find this one quite ironic. If we’re gonna start rounding people up for violation of their oaths, I’m pretty sure 99.8% of politicians will be in jail... and I’d love it!

Jail is expensive, rope is cheap.

... and add CIVIL ASSEST FORFEITURE to their roundup also! Governmental budget would receive a nice little boost.

I wonder if they’re more worried about the court of public opinion right now than the DA’s case?
I think you're 100% right there. I would think, given the crap that's coming out about the DA, and considering he's already charged them before the GBI has completed its investigation, and the fact that 2 weeks ago he stated that a taser is considered a deadly weapon (when a cop used it against a suspect) and now his case against them is that a taser is not a deadly weapon - that this case will go nowhere.

The problem is - the DA's actions will cause more issues in the community if these charges are dropped.

In the Fulton Co DA Dem Primary he was 2nd behind the leader by over 10k votes. But the leader didn’t have enough percentage of the votes to be declared the winner so they’ll have a runoff in August. With the press about diverting $140K in funds into his own pocket, lying, sexual harassment, etc it looks like he will not win ... and I doubt this mess will go to trial by then or maybe it will be long enough to where he’s not even in office. Anyway you are so correct, when the offering he served up flops he very likely won’t have to deal with the crap from it.
