Avengers: Endgame

I keed, I keed...

I will make an exception and go see it in the theater... a couple weeks after it opens during on school day at a matinee...

I’ll probably do what I did for Captain Marvel and buy them for the first Sat morning and Tue evening. $5/ea and reserved seating. And maybe we’ll actually go see it again on Tue instead of canceling the tix. :D

I had to watch Infinity Stones twice to appreciate it. Watched it on Netflix, though.

Now that I kinda know what's going on, I look forward to this one.

I haven't seen CPT Marvel yet. I'll have to check it out first in case of Easter eggs...

Got my tickets for Thursday 4/25 at 6:30 in hand. Happy birthday to me!

Our office is renting out the entire theater on the 26th to view as a whole group. This should be pretty interesting, cant wait.

Been trying to buy tickets for 4+ hours. App and website for AMC are completely down or struggling to even function each time I try. :(

Tried Fandango?
No. All the articles say AMC, Fandango and Atom are all having issues. But I get all my fees waived and accrue points with AMC.

I’m looking at Sat morning, so I’m fairly sure there will be seats when it’s working again. I’ve gotten in twice and it lets me click on one seat, but no additional seats and I can’t go anywhere else. Only 3 seats taken in the theater for one showing, and 7 for another.

I don’t think this was posted. This was the trailer they released this morning when the tix went on sale.

Gotcha.
I had heard they were going live at 8am this morning, but I was able to get in to Fandango around 7:45 to purchase. When I picked my seats at Starlight at the 6:30 showing, no tickets had been sold for that screen and time yet. First time that had ever happened for me.

Going to AMC’s site a couple of minutes ago redirected me to maintenance.amctheatres.com, so I waited a minute and tried again and it’s back up. Took about a minute and a half to buy tix for two different showings.

Bought Sat morning and Tue evening. Cheaper to do that than buying them for Opening Day. :D

The Sat morning show had plenty left and I got the seats I would’ve selected if it was wide open. The Tue showing was completely empty when I selected mine.

So this is how important Dis-Marvel-ous movies are to me. I waited what, 2.5 years to watch Dr. Strange, Thor: Ragnarok and Infinite War on Netflix. I ain't giving them no more income lol. I hate Disney yall. Detest them.

I love anything Avengers related but I have to wait until it comes to cable. To cheap to pay to see it at the Theater.
Especially when you know they'll be playing on TNT in less than 2 years ;)

I pay 3.50 for each ticket at the new theater in wilkesboro but I'm waiting a couple weeks before I go

I paid $33.66 total for 6 tix (3 tix @ 2 showings). Can’t complain about that too much...and that’s reserved seating with reclining chairs.

Candy (for 3) and drinks (for 2) will be in the pockets. Will buy one drink and a popcorn at the movie. Get the popcorn and two extra boxes so we all share. Then get a free (ok, included) refill on drink and popcorn as we leave.

As with any movie, i'l wait and go an a weekday when most everyone is working.
One of the luxuries of a home office and nobody looking over my shoulder.
(A luxury I'd happily sacrifice for not having any more China travel)

One week to go...

Who’s going tonight?

Sat morning for us, so I’ll be avoiding this thread until then.

As a reminder...you can use the spoiler feature if you want to post anything here. Everything you type between {spoiler} and {/spoiler}, but used brackets [] instead of braces {}, will be hidden like this:

does Ant-Man really shrink down, crawl up Thanos’ rectum, and then go giant-size to kill him? :p

Watched it today. expecting to be disappointed, but wasn't, it was really good.

Hawkeyes wife and kids are taken out by Thanos snap never knew why he transitioned to Ronan

It ... was...AWESOME!.

It really tied the movies up very well. There's enough in there that you'll have to watch it a dozen times to detect all the action.

I will give ya'll a heads up, there was no after credit scene.

Agreed, totally awesome.

No after credit scenes so don't waste your time waiting for one.

You have to sit through them anyway. Those people worked hard!! :p

It’s something my dad always did with us, and I make my family do it. Which is why I chuckled when I ran across this in the WTF pic thread recently. :D

I did see that Hemsworth and RDJ both had personal chef's.

That will be funny after you see it.

Just finished Infinity War again...ready for tomorrow morning. :D

My best bud is a huge comics fan. He's been collecting (and reading) them since he was a kid. He's 51 now. In fact, he usually reads one before work every morning.

I emailed him to ask if he was going to wait until it came to the dollar theater to watch it or asap. I kinda knew the answer on this one. Lol.

He was his reply to me after seeing the movie. He gives nothing away to those who haven't seen it yet, like me. And based on his comments, I may not watch it until I've seen the others.

I just got back from the movie! It was fantastic! I'm trying to think if it's the best movie I've ever seen or just the best Marvel movie I've seen. Probably both. I have to admit, I came close to shedding tears at one point - it was everything that's been good in comics for the past few decades. 3 hours long, incredibly comprehensive, and chock full of ideas and scenes that have appeared in comics since the 70's and 80's. I'd recommend not only seeing every Marvel movie before seeing this one (and marathoning them prior to it is not out of the question), but also go back and read every Marvel comic printed since about 1978 or so, give or take a few years. It's worth about as many thumbs up as you can spare! Not that I'm biased or anything, but it was pretty darn decent.

(But make sure you've seen Captain Marvel first if you don't know that much about her.)

ETA: He has such a huge comic book collection that he is currently looking at commercial storage options. Currently, they are in an upstairs bedroom and he's a little concerned about the weight. Srs.

Watched Ant-Man & The Wasp this morning. Heading to theater now.

Concord Mills has 55 of the regular Digital showings today. Only had 48 yesterday.

...and that doesn’t include the other dozen or two of Dolby Cinema, IMAX, Real3D and IMAX 3D. That’s nuts.

I think I'll take his advice about watching the movies (not about reading the comics).

Is there somewhere that lists these movies, so I can easily check to see what I've seen or not seen?

I watched it yesterday with the kids. I saw shades of the blues brothers, oceans eleven, and the big lebowski in the first half.
