So I picked up 4,000 9mm FMJ 124 gr bullets from RMR rmrbullets.com in Sept. I finally used up the rest of my plated RMR and Xtreme bullets and have been loading some of the RMR FMJ. Finished off the first 1,000 and according to my reloading log I should have 100 bullets left. I check the bin and I only have 55. So I check my other 3 1,000 round bags and they are all short by about the same amount.

So I fire off an email to Jake and his crew just letting them know. I figure they can make it up to me on my next order. I get an email response within an hour and they are shipping me replacement bullets plus some extra. They of course package and ship by weight and believe something was a bit off on this batch but are making it right at lightening speed.

Everyone makes mistakes but the mark of a great company is how they take care of an issue once it is brought to their attention. Can't ask for better customer service then I recieved today from Jake and the crew at RMR.

I've been buying from RMR for several years and they have always been responsive anytime I've called, stand up company, good pricing and a good product.

4,000 bullets, your postal carrier must not be very happy.

They would not even drop them off. They left me a note and I had to go to the post office and get them. They shipped them in 2 flat rate bubble mailers. My mail carrier hates my reloading hobby.

Good to hear. I'm definitely an RMR fan for my pistol bullets.

Most definitely.
Plated are not "rated" for the velocities I need to make major power factor.
I assume you are shooting 9mm? There are some plated rated to 1500fps (like the RMR Hardcore Match) but I suspect the FMJ would be better at that velocity. FWIW, I get 1500fps with a mid-range load of Power Pistol, behind an RMR 115 FMJ, but that is out of my 16" carbine. Best bullet I have found for that carbine, but I have to seat it short.

I can tell you that the RMR 124 "MPR" (multi-purpose-round) would have to be seated very short, so I suspect it may not give enough case volume to give you the velocity you need.

Jake and his crew are good people. I’ve ordered a bunch from them and will continue. Prices are great and shipping is quick.

I neglected to mention that a very firm crimp is needed in 9 major. (Lots of powda)
The plated won't take the crimp very well.

It has been my experience that their "Hardcore Match" plated can take much more crimp than normal plated. Crimp in a separate step, not while seating.

That may be the best of both worlds then.
Closed base for a cleaner comp plus able to take a firm crimp without affecting accuracy or creating lead-ing issues.
I need to ask around on Enos and see if anyone uses them in open.

I don't shoot competition so I can't help you there. I'd like to know what you find out on Enos.

The only HM bullets of theirs that I have put firm crimps on are their 357 mag bullets, for revolver loads. Using the Lee FCD, I was able to put a good crimp on them, enough to prevent bullet jump. When I pulled a few test bullets, none had broken plating. The crimp I applied were more significant than the typical taper crimp for a semi-auto. I just looked on RMR website and I don't see those listed now.

I have some of their 9mm 124 HM bullets I can send you if you want to try them out.

Speaking of RMR, I just went to their site and they no longer list any 147gr 9mm. I googled it and got a 404 error. Maybe they're pulling pages down that are OOS now??? Can't fathom them getting out of 147gr 9mm.

I think they might be having server issues.
