So I click on the ad at the top of the page for the Backwoods Bang Shop and I get a big box outlined in yellow that says-

"Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.backwoodsbangshop.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem."

Is there a problem?

I'm running chrome. I typed in backwoodsbangshop.com and it works fine for me.

Are you getting the same thing if you manually type in the web address?

Nothing is expired as far as I'm aware. The website auto renews every year. It's hosted by Weebly.

Granted there isn't really anything on the website. There never really has been. I never integrated a shopping cart or a store so to speak. This was always the plan before I got sick. I may continue it in the next year or two and develop it fully.

I have no idea why you are receiving the message though. It's showing up fine for me on chrome when I manually type the web address in.

As a note, I just clicked the ad and it told me the same thing. However, when I manually enter the web address its fine. Perhaps someone smarter than me knows what is going on with it.

From the web because this stuff is out of my pay grade.
HTTPS is not the opposite of HTTP, but its younger cousin. The two are essentially the same, in that both of them refer to the same “hypertext transfer protocol” that enables requested web data to be presented on your screen. But, HTTPS is still slightly different, more advanced, and much more secure.

The https refers to it being a secure (backed by a security certificate) hypertext transfer protocol site. If the certificate is expired, you get this message. Http doesn't look for the security cert.... so no error.

I have no idea why or even what the difference is. I'm somewhat technologically in tune but I have no idea what would cause this.
Weebly editor -> Settings -> General -> SSL -> Disable -> Publish; then Enable -> Publish)

Running a VPN?

I can't access some sites, Lowes for example, unless I turn off the VPN. It doesn't allow me to follow some links in e-mails. Ammoland's daily e-mail is a prime example.

The "s" in https is very important, Thanks to the guys who explained it. I can't, other than it's more secure.

Or do we (CFF) just change address the ad is pointing to by dropping the “s”?
