I know not many folks are out in my area, but if you ever shopped at On Target in Lincolnton/Boger City while it was open 5 or so years back, the owner and proprietor, Dewey passed Sunday.
Dewey was one of those larger than life characters, with a wicked sense of humor and a love for a good prank (confetti loaded shotgun shells, tricking used car salesmen into walking out into the pouring rain, etc). He would do anything he could to help somebody out while expecting nothing in return. I truly enjoyed all my time in that store and riding with Dewey up to Parks and Sons. I regret not keeping in touch better.
If y'all could say a prayer for his family, I know it would be appreciated; he leaves big shoes to fill.
