I acquired this shotgun as a decent budget option gun for cowboy. It works fine the issue I run into is when you take it down like a normal side by side it is hard as hell to get it back together. I've read online where this is a common issue. In fact I took it apart last night and I still can't get it back togther. Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to solve this?
Every time I take it apart it always surprises me when it goes back together as I do not honestly know the correct way to put it back together as it is different than other side by sides I've had.

Been awhile since I sold my Baikal SxS hammer gun. Got it in West Germany in 88' and sold while unemployed in 14'. I'm assuming on the take down you are just separating the forearm (pull lever down) from the barrels. To remove barrels, open breech and pivot barrels down and separate barrels/frame. Or you referring to taking the locks apart?

Eddie, it took me a few tries to put it back together at first, but after a bit I got the hang of it, and it became like any other break-open shotgun. It is the way it is - it will come!

The barrel.
The gun actually used to belong to red Marley. It's a fantastic shooting gun. I must not know the trick yet.
I'm going to be off work tomorrow so I'll work on it see if I can figure it out. I see he doesn't push the lever over when reassembly so that might be my issue
