I want to put together another upper for maximum accuracy from a suppressed SBR. The Omega suppressor is rated for >10" barrels.

So, who makes the "best" SBR length barrels these days?

I'm not terribly concerned about price, but I'm also not a brand whore.
Weight isn't an issue.
I prefer the look of stainless, but accuracy trumps aesthetics.
Must be threaded 1/2-28
I'd like to run it out to 450-500 yards.

If you accuracy, contact white oak armament or Douglas. You didn't mention price but White Oak is by far the best bang for the buck. I use their barrels on my 18" rifle I use for gas run matches out to 700 yards.

500 yards with a SBR will be fun and even more fun on windy days with 55gr.

11.5" is a great compromise and with a can it will be same length as a 16" rifle.

I'll have a BCM 9" hanguard (slighly used) for sale shortly if you want a great rail cheap.

With weight not a concern I would consider a stealth barrel from Larue. $245 for a 12” and you can add one of their triggers for $99 (normally $125 but often on sale alone for $99). Would suggest adj gas block for this one. SLR makes one with the specific Larue set screw .450 spacing.

Check Ballistic Advantage.

My AR10 has a BA barrel that I'm just getting worked out. I haven't spent enough time (load development) with it yet, but so far so good. I like that they offer a Sub-MOA guarantee, even on the short length barrels.

I have a 10.5 and am putting one in a 16 in .308 carbine.

I can recommend ballistic advantage. Don't have one.of the short barrels but my 20" has be awesome!! They make great barrels at a great price.

Granite Ridge outfitters has 25% off all barrels right now.
10.3" BA Hanson .223 wylde to $165 with free shipping.

I am running a 11.5" Rainier with omega but I have not shot it for groups yet.

I bought a BA 12.5" on sale for 94$. Just the basic gov't profile. It outshot my 16" barrel easily. And I spent almost 3 times as much on the 16!
I was kinda shocking and frankly ruined me on expensive barrels. But I should mention it is not a precision rig by any means and I am sure a kreiger or other lapped expensive barrel is better, just not sure about the diminishing returns on a 12.5" barrel.

I like the 12.5 because I can fit a 12" handguard.

Damn. That settled it. I was leaning toward BA already. $165 shipped for a SUB-MOA guarantee works for me. Just placed the order.

Grabbed an Aero complete upper for $65 at the same time.
