Battery Oaks Meet & Greet Sign Up

Thanks for the inquiries ole Pards..we are still in the game. All utilities still in place here. Geezer will, I am sure, come here if things get too hairy there.
You stocked up on razors? o_O

I’m out fellas. A close family member asked me to officiate their wedding that weekend so I’ll be caught up in that. Love you all!

I honestly hope some debris is the worst of any problems there.
Well my Friend, your hoping paid off!!! LOTSA debris. Main, Gun, and Bunk are all 100%. Lost power Saturday morning 1 AM. Up and going now. Clean up in this coming week. Thanks to you all for the good thoughts for us. We appreciate you all more than ever at times like these. Billy

Well, @Bailey Boat , looks like your vacaion is over. The old and determined folks over here made it pretty much unscathed. Sadly, some folks over in downtown are nt as lucky. A lot of people being flooded by the still rising waters.

Billy tells me that he has a lot of debris but that should be taken care of soon. And, from what I hear, none of the steel targets got blown away. It's less than a month away now and after the stress of the hurricane and hard work of the clean up, I can't think of a better way to unwind and relax at the meet and greet. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

I am 95% sure that I will be there early Saturday morning. Not sure if Barbara is going to make it. That might mean trouble. Now on whos end, her's or mine. I am planning bringing a 1873 trapdoor 45-70 and on the other end of the spectrum a 204 Ruger if Iget it in and get the scope mounted. Also, will need some factory ammo for the first couple 100 riounds.

Toprudder a buddy of mine told me about this. I am in NMB just about every weekend. Conway is a hop skip away. I will be there. Hopefully Toprudder will fit it in too. Look forward to meeting ya'll.
Well dang. Twist my arm, will ya!

OK, 3 weeks to go! The water should be down and main roads open. We're really looking forward to seeing everyone.

There will be some nice door prizes and givewaways. And, yes, you have to be present to win.

Just an idea,
Not sure if anyone has hit on it already,
But maybe some name tags?
So everyone knows who everyone else is?
I ordered one from DesignMine a couple days ago.

I won't need a name tag.

You'll recognize me as the guy with 20 empty 9mm boxes at his feet and 0 hits. :(

I'll let you borrow a Glock so you can feel what it's like to hit a target.

How is the flooding in this area?
No flooding at Battery Oaks and getting better in the area. Roads are starting to open up and should be back to normal in 2 weeks. We will keep everyone informed as to any road conditions.

@Geezer, how about area motels? Closed, filled with refugees or operating normally?

Last week hotels were begging for anyone to come. Myrtle Beach was hardly affected by the hurricane. In the Conway area along the Waccamaw river is where the problems are. Getting into Myrtle Beach was a problem.
Starting Monday October 1 Hwy 501 will have all lanes back open. Hwy 22 opened back up this past Thursday. Travel has gotten better and will continue to get better. We will keep everyone updated but I think all will be fine in 2 weeks.

Folks we are 2 weeks away from big fun. It would do my old heart good to see you ALL here. If you can possibly make it..come on. As to the camping aspect, if you bring a sleeping bag, the porch at the Bunk House will hold a dozen easily. The Bunk House has 3 dignitaries in it. Oldbear stays at a motel 10 minutes away occasionally. There are nice accomodations close by. Tanger Outlet for the shoppers in the group is 15 minutes away in two locations. See ya'll soon!!!!!

Hate it....but going to miss the get together. I have to take my son to Charlotte. Going to be a 14 hour day for us. Wanted to find a good place to shoot when in NMB.

Just had a visit from CFF member" mechanic". Nice fellow and a nice motosickle. Says he will try to be here for M&G.
Nice meeting you today, you have a good looking range, I'm going to try and make.
I met @mechanic a few months ago. I suggested he try hard to make it to the shindig (and bring some of his special toys). I'm happy to know he's already been there and hope to see him again at Battery Oaks. :)

healing well, so I plan to be there with my 80 yr old father, and possibly more. I plan to roll through on Friday enroute to my parents in calabash. coming back on sat with the old devil dog
Are you sure that you want your dad to see the kind of people that you associate with? Looking forward to meeting you and your dad.
