As we get closer to October 12 we'll keep updating about the meet and greet. Around the first of September we'll start trying to get a headcount. By then most should know if they are coming or not. We understand that some may not know until the last minute, that's fine, we'll deal with it.
Also around the first of September we'll ask to see who will bringing grills, smokers, cookers, etc. and see what kind of covered dish people will be bringing. Who knows, there may be an arm wrestling match to settle the whipped cream or meringue on nanner puddin debate.
There will be a shooting competition for anyone to enter, free of charge. You will fire 5 rounds only, you will be timed for these 5 rounds. It will take 5 hits to make it to the shoot off for prizes and bragging rights. You miss one target, you're out. We will take the 5 best times and these shooters will shoot for prizes. All 5 places will get something. We chose 5 rounds so people that choose to shoot revolvers will be on a level playing field with everyone else.
There has been some talk about a bowling pin match. We will have one. It may not be at the October meet and greet but, we will have one at some time. Billy wants to do it right and there just may not be enough time to get a table put together. We have a lot of stuff to do to get ready, time is ticking away, and we're old. Be patient, we'll shoot some bowling pins one of these days.
I'll be posting a few rules for everyone to follow during the event. Billy and his wife live at Battery Oaks. They have neighbors. The rules are few and they are very easy for an adult to follow. Remember, you will want to be invited back, don't mess it up.
