Beer Review #91: Trader Joe's Quinquagenary 2017 Vintage Ale - Aged!
I bought 2 bottles of this around November of 2017. We reviewed it around March 2018. Here is that original review:
I let the other bottle age in the beer fridge for about 15 months and that’s the one we’re reviewing here.
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Alcohol by volume (ABV): 9.00%
Bottom line:
Aging improved it considerably! While we liked it when fresh, we loved it aged. Much sweeter and the flavors melded into a much mellower profile and the boozeyness all but disappeared. Four thumbs up.
