Finally had some time to take this out and try to sight it in. I failed and ended up being frustrated messing with it. Part of the problemthat Adam @Offthextrainingsolutions pointed out is the scope was loose on the rail because I had it all the way to the back.

Fixed that problem and then trying to sight this in you need a dang kanami code. No outside adjustment. All digital.

I swear I should have spent a little extra and got the one shot automagic adjustment and not have to worry about sending $2 a round down range.

I’m not ready to give us just yet but the dang thermeon is looking might nice.

I've got the Pulsar Thermion XM30 if you want to compare. We can head back up to Adam's.

Sighting in for me is firing a shot on paper and then moving the recticle to the actual impact. Set, done.

I've got mine on a American Defense QD mount.

300blk subs 208grain amax and about 20 rounds later and I was still slinging them at 7 yards because the scope being loose caused me to adjust way off the map.
 
Come on back out brother bring some cheaper supersonic ammo we'll get it close with that then use your subs to fine tune it I'll be working on the dozer tomorrow but my wife will be here range is open. If you want me down there just tell Pam to come get me I'll be next door.

I am pleased to announce the reason why I couldn't get the thermal is because I was an idiot...

Now with some time in between trying to sight it in I was talking with a friend on the phone today. He told me to walk him through what I was doing. As soon as I started saying it out loud I realized where I went wrong.

So I followed the directions. I shot two rounds and then adjusted to the point of impact...except I MOVED THE RIFLE AND SCOPE TO put the crosshairs on the point of impact then I moved the crosshairs to bullseye which means I moved it up and to the right when I should have been moving it down and to the left. I should have shot the two rounds and then moved the crosshairs to the point of impact and not the gun.

Looks like im ready to try this again.

Yeah…that’s the process for zeroing any optic. Doh! 🤓

Take a shot. (Or a few shots)
Don’t move the firearm.
Adjust crosshairs to where the hole is.

It was the wording in the instructions that made me go against my better judgement
 
I'd love to compare thermals one day/night. I think yours is one level up from mine, but the different form factor and UI would be interesting.
