I am on the verge of getting a suppressor for my MP5 clones and my CZ Scorpion. I am looking for recommendations for 147 and 124 gr bullets for suppressed shooting on these platforms. Also what powder do people recommend for super sonic and sub sonic loads in 9mm subguns?

For cheaper reloads , I like Berry's plated bullets. Hornady if price is no object.

I had some Alliant Power Pistol powder on hand. It worked fine for subs and supers.

If we're talking subguns the answer is whatever runs. Some subguns don't like hollow points.
I had a B&T APC9 that choked on HST. Ran Gold Dots ok. Absolutely ran Winchester SXT 147 flawless.

I run a 147g RN from Blue Bullets in my suppressed AR9, forget the charge off hand, but use titegroup.

I was thinking that for basic plinking Blue Bullets or Plated would be perfect. What I will most likely do is buy a few different profiles and run them to see what works well. I know the MP5 clones sometimes don't like flat nose profiles.

I normally run HP-38 for 9mm and 45 ACP. I might give that a try first for ease of operation.

I was also going to suggest the same configuration. I've loaded mine to 3.2 gr. (min. load) and around 1.15" COAL. They run my Glocks no problem, but not sure how they'd behave in a roller delayed blowback situation.

My only advice is to use a powder check if you use Titegroup. You can triple charge a case with the 3.2 gr load without overflowing the case. Of course, you'll only do that once since reloading without fingers is hard. ;)

Faster burning powders tend to be quieter and work well for subs....TiteGroup or Bulleye, etc. Like said above......they are light charges, pay attention!

WSF has done great for me also......its probably my favorite.

Supers are just louder.....not as much fun!

I shoot cast & coated flat nose 147's in my MP5, Lyman mold, they feed and function fine over VV N320.
I posted a pic of them in the raw here:https://www.carolinafirearmsforum.c...ou-do-in-the-reloading-room-today.170/page-71

I shoot either 147 plated or FMJ, currently American Reloading FN FMJ since RMR changed their design and it doesn’t work with tight chambers like Gen 5 Glocks, M&P 2.0, and CZ Pistols (excl scorpion). I use 3.4gr titegroup.

I looked for a higher volume powder to prevent the possibility of double or triple charges but it’s tough to beat titegroup in every other perspective.
