Best beginner Harley

I’m working on buying my daughter her 1st motorcycle also. It’s a little tuff for her to find what she likes, especially since she’s only 5’2” and not sure what she wants and fits her. She also still needs to take the riders edge course.

The MSF classes offered at the community colleges use Honda 250 Nighthawks, and upon passing the class you are eligible for the DMV motorcycle endorsement. You don't have to take the state driving test.
And it's a way better course too. Rather than have you identify some obscure road sign you'll never see, they'll teach you how to spot the car that's about to turn left in front of you.
Sign up early. There's a waiting list.

I can't stress the importance of training enough, whether noob or greybeard. I took the MSF Experienced Rider Course back in '05, after riding 20+ years & while I didn't learn anything new, I unlearned a number of bad habits. Wouldn't mind retaking it, just for the tune up.

Fwiw, I bought my fatboy (miss it now) from a lady in her mid 30s that had owned quite a few Harley’s since her husband got her into riding in her early 20s, she was barely 5ft tall if that and small framed. Her first bike was an 883 sportie, her 4th or 5th bike was an FL series softail (not sure if a heritage or fatboy) but those two models was all she was interested in after she owned the first of them and they traded yearly. The low seat height (especially after she lowered the back end by about another in) coupled with the stability of the front end at low speeds made her a believer. There used to be several small framed women from the conway/Aynor that rode with their husbands and they all rode FL softails, one had a white heritage that was hot! My bike had some mild stuff done with it and would hold with a TC (mine was a 99 so an Evo) with pipes and a few bolt ons, she could walk away from me (hers was an Evo too).
