No... not really news nor surprising as heā€™s made statements before. HOWEVER, taking this strong of a stance on the topic while campaigning has been a losing strategy for countless elections. Often, these political creatures go silent on gun control and avoid it like the plague until after the election as itā€™s such a hot button topic for so man... I read through a lot of the comments and, while mixed, the pro 2A crowd heavily outweighed the gun grabber comments.

I hope he drives fence-sitting moderates away from his camp with comments such as this.

Again, his message hasnā€™t changed from before his nomination to after.

I donā€™t think Iā€™m being clear.

Iā€™m aware of his record, recent, pre-nomination and even earlier.
Iā€™m aware of the leftā€™s opinion on gun control.
Iā€™m familiar with all of their catch phrases and scary terminology.
Blah, blah, blah All the same old stuff here... nothing new.

my point is that most politicians want you to forget their position on topics such as gun control. They expect the average folk to forget or expect a zebra to change its stripes... My point is that I think Iā€™m most surprised by JB restating his position on banning stuff just as people are starting to make up their minds while cities burn. This has always been taboo for politicians as itā€™s such a polarizing topic. I hope it polarizes ...away from casting a vote for him.
 
Yep, I agree with everything you just wrote.

His approach would assume that anyone that would vote for him is in support of his entire position on guns.

More evidence that Biden should be sent to a Gov. Cuomo old folks home.

The risk posed is the Senate seats in play this go-around. There is a fair likelihood it may swing anti-gun D. There are some very volatile seats up this year, like Tillis.
