Biden to unveil long-awaited executive action on guns

This is correct...

But, I would not be surprised if they took this "concealed assault weapon" thing a step further and also tried to ban the concealed carry of other scary handguns... In California, It's already against the law to have any barrel with threads on them. They might also try to go after people concealed carrying handguns with threaded barrels or handgun magazines over 10rds...
I’m 64, California has banned suppressors as long as I can remember. I spent my first 41 years there.
I remember my first trip to Va., I was amazed when I saw a suppressor for sale in a gun store.

Police shouldn’t make policy. I presume that the gun seizure unit is only seizing illegal guns (mostly guns possessed by felons I presume) and I haven’t a clue why they would stop doing that.

Common sense gun control would involve precise enforcement of existing laws related to possession of or use of a gun during a criminal act, until they do at least that it’s clear that this is about both sides raising money and not about solving any problems.
Correct!

The police enforce. They do not make the laws.
(Quick! Someone tell the BATFECES)

However in the MPD, all ranks above Captain (Inspector, Commander, Ass Chief) are political appointees.

Then I moved to the land of the free.
So odd what you’d consider normal when you have been raised that way your whole life...

how much were the blem lowers?
If you're lucky enough to catch them in stock... you can expect the ar15 ones to go for around 70. the m4e1 lowers go for a tad more. but they all sell out in less than an hour or two.
prepandemic, they were going for 40ish and 60ish...

But since i can't stock up on ammo at 4x the normal price right now, i might as well stock up on lowers at 1.75x...

Stocking up on Aero lowers at that price is a no brainer.

Idiot Joey lies many times and his nose grow longer.

1. Can buy anything you want at a gunshow and without a background check.
FALSE-You can only buy what is legal in your state. Majority of guns are bought from FFLs at gun shows that run NICS checks.
2. You couldn't buy anything you wanted when the Constitution was written.
FALSE- Only required money. Want a multi barrel Puckle gun, pony up the dough. Want cannons on a ship, pay up and get a letter of Marque.
3. Amendments are not absolute.
FALSE- The Bill of Rights enshrine those God giving rights. Presidency isn't Absolute either. 2A is the only one with the words "Shall Not be Infringed!"
4. You can't yell fire in a theater.
FALSE- Been debunked decades ago.

So does anybody have any real data on how often braced AR pistols were used in crime?

That being said I never understood why the ATF okayed them in the first place, the braces do in all honesty turn the braced pistols into SBRs. I am not saying that those should be regulated the way they are (see sentence above, I think that regulation was always a solution in search of a problem) just that functionally there is no difference I can personally see between a braced AR pistol and a SBR AR.

A machine gun is clearly different because it has select fire capability so there the difference in function is clear (let's leave the nonsensical bump stock ban out of it for now).

Guns have the highest percentage of sure death. People that really want to kill themselves will still do with other methods. Most of the suicides that I personally know of were hanging.

CD
As a medical examiner I have personally had 7 suicide calls in the last 18 months. 2 were with a Gun, 3 were hanging and 2 were pills/drugs/ prescription medicines. Guns are the “quick” way but folks that get to that state of mind where they think the only way out is suicide will do it anyway they can.

I can share anecdotal verification from CPD that the Chicago gangs have really taken to Draco type firearms.

My son and his unit arrested 4 Gangster Disciples from Chicago last week. They boxed the car in and got them. All were armed including a 13 year old. I wonder who put a gun in that boys hand? I'll have to ask him what kind of firearms they had.

Have they pled all the gun charges away yet and kicked them all out of jail?

One or two in the Las Vegas shoot but don't know if they were fired (he had like 30 rifles), one shooting at night last year in a mideastern city (guy was shot by police within a minute) and the Boulder CO. shooting recently.

Braces were designed for handicap people to shoot the gun one handed. Banning braces now you can have handicap people suing under the Disability Act.

I don't expect a brace ban. I expect regulation of what you can brace. PCC probably OK to brace. Rifle caliber anything will be SBR in effect.

I think the regulation will be like no normal scopes (have to shoulder for proper eye relief), long eye relief and red dots ok. Weight limit, etc as what ATF was listing back at Christmas time.

Pretty much my outlook

Anyone live in a 2A sanctuary county? Wouldn't that / shouldn't that come into play?
