Big changes coming for the Draco family...

WELDING!!! Hell Yeah...no feeling in the world like working and having a PRODUCT at the end of the day!!! Not that she needs it to have a complete life but tell your wife congratulations.
She has a product, too...living, breathing people lol

Very cool news! How does your wife like EMS? Will she be with Gaston County?

It wasn't my cup of tea, but I certainly enjoyed aspects of it. I ended up going a different direction.

Welding is awesome, and there is something about being a man and working with your hands that is so gratifying. It's probably one of the best trades out there. I looked into it too.

She's not in yet....has to yake her state exams. She's taking abiut ten days to go over her books and do all the homework one more time cuz shes paraniid about failing it lol.
She'll be with Cleveland County. She had an offer from both Gaston and Lincoln. Lincoln is a bit far and she/we dont like much of anything about Gaston.

A buddy of mine is a welding inspector contractor .he works 90 days a year and pulls more tgen $75 a hour when he works.

Great job if you are willing to work 60-90 days with no break

Just think about moving to WV when your finished with your degree. They are laying more pipe than a high school prom. Big gas line is going to keep them busy for years to come.

I've got a Naval backgtound.... I have actually thought about this. A lot.
I was a commercial diver for 2 years.
It'll take a young man and make him old fast.
It'll take an old man and kill him.

It's not a glamorous job. It's extremely hard work, and the human body does not respond well to repeated 8 to 10 hours underwater everyday.
Most guys don't last as long as I did. I quit that and got into the sport diving industry, where basically I saved the college babes from evil barracudas and helped them get in and out of their wetsuits and I was their hero.
If you wanna be a professional diver, do that. ;)

Very short life for an underwater welder. No way in hell. Good luck @draco. Maybe give some thought to heating, ac, and refrigeration. I need some help from something other than a twenty year old retard. Thank goodness I have a couple good guys but I’m going to need more in the future.
