Another "FRT" hits the market. This time with Mr. Grvaes the creator of the concept of "FRT". $450.00 for those that are not members of BDU wondering the price.

Seeing as the ATF seized all of their WOT triggers a few weeks ago in a "totally not a raid", I wouldn't want to be someone in possession of this until the courts figure this whole forced reset stuff out. https://www.forfeiture.gov/pdf/ATF/OfficialNotification.pdf

And the rest of the list is what looks to be hundreds of the WOT triggers seized.

Meh, Rare Breed is still up and running selling triggers on their site. If they were "serious" they would have made actual arrests and charges. They know if they do that they can NOT prove these are "machine guns" and will not end well in court.

As someone who likes to do mag dumps, I hope you're right. The problem is that the people who have these triggers have a high likelihood of being pawns in this fight and for all the ATF registered stuff I have, I don't need that kind of attention. The ATF has a very sympathetic adminsitration right now, and they have all the time and taxpayer money in the world to make life hell for people who make and own these triggers. Because of a recent purchase, I've been doing a deep dive of the history of the Ingram Mac 10 / RPB / SWD companies. The ATF ruthlessly went after companies like this that were making legal weapons and even though they didn't win a lot of them, they succeeded in bankrupting and putting all of them out of business. The fact that we can't repair our own suppresssors is directly because of what these couple of companies were selling in the 80's and 90s, that was legal at the time but isn't anymore. The ATF is no different today.

The “new” trigger appears to be a way around the Rare Breed FRT vs Big Daddy Unlimited WOT patent fight because of a “roller” function. It appears to be an actual improvement but I’m wondering what is beneath the waters where you pay $450 up front for a trigger that you have to wait for from a company dealing witha lawsuit and gooberment seizures. Could this be a way for BDU to try and pump in funds they are in dire need of to keep the lights on? BDU has supposedly been laying off people because of the lawsuit and ATF problems causing their operational capital to dry up. I don’t know how true it is but when lawsuits and ABC agencies knock on your door a business ain’t gonna be seeing its best days.

I think you may be into something here. I don’t trust them anymore and won’t be buying one of these. BDU has shown they can’t be trusted.

Sponsoring gun buy backs for one. And then lying about the “ATF visit” a few weeks ago. I bought a WOT trigger a few months ago and plan to buy more but will just go with a a different brand. It’s good to have choices but I have a strong feeling of snake in the grass when it comes to BDU.

While I appreciate the idea of being virtuous in your approach of who you do business with. However, Trump pushed the ATF to ban the bump stock. Who are you voting for next election if it is between Trump and whoever the Dems put up? Firearms manufacturers, in particular, Ruger have caused issues with supporting "bans" and other anti 2A laws and rulings in the past. Do you realize how many gun manufacturers have "ripped off" Glock? To this day Smith and Wesson have to pay Glock for every SD9. PSA makes the Dagger, SDS Tactical makes clone Benelli M4's, Beretta 92, etc. NRA has done their fair share of screwed-up stuff. I could go on and on with other examples of this type of stuff in the 2A industry. My point is if BDU does not fit your buying habits I get it. However, they do have some great deals on their site that would more than pay for a year's membership.

Search my post history on here and you will see my opinion on trump. I know what happened. I didn’t even mention ripping anyone off.

I said when he was first elected that I hoped he was not like Ronald Reagan when it came to the 2A. However, I voted for him and would do so again. I guess that's my point about BDU. Companies like them bring these products to market and can help the overall cause of the 2A even when I/we don't agree with them 100% with everything they do.

BDU convinced Graves (the patent holder) to join into a joint venture. Mr. Graves holds all licenses and patents to all of them and sold limited licenses and patents to Rare Breed and BDU (for the Alamo-15). To me it feels like them buying their way out of the lawsuit since they now own a patent for a FRT style Trigger. We will see how it plays out. I am more excited to see Lawrence’s three position Rare Breed once it is released.
