@BatteryOaksBilly asked me to take some pictures of some of his revolvers and I was happy to do it. I am no photographer like @Cocked & Locked and some of you other guys, but I think you can tell what they are. I'm not going to put all 19 pictures here at one time, I'll put 2 or 3 and let Billy tell you a little about them. Here we go and in no particular order.

These Js are interesting, at least to me, because the top ones are every variation in 3 inchers. Blue, Nickel, Stainless. I n steel and Airweights.
The next two are absolutely New In Their Boxes with all docs. A 2 in Kit gun in nickel, and a modern Centennial Lemon squeezer.
Next 4, 2 Airweights, A special order .357 with our flag, and a stainless .32 mag.
I'm a died in the wool revolver man that daily carries plastic throwaways. Geezer will be posting some more. Some are pretty interesting.

Thanks Prosecutor. Keep checking, my ole Pard will be posting more. The 2 CAs are real comfort guns when in a jacket pocket. The 2 PPCs are a delight. I had the little J frame done because I had never seen a PPC .22. The P&R 66 started life as a 4 inch square butt and ended up a 3 1/4 inch J Frame round butt.

Top picture, a 1st and 2nd model handejector, followed by a long barrel top break and then 2 Bicycle guns I was after a long time. A .32 and a .38.
A 3 screw .45 Blackhawk only made from '71-73. A lightweight carved out recoil shield, pinched top strap, fitted aluminum frame and Colt grips. this gun has a 1 pound trigger.
1st gen SAA in 32-20, a 3rd gen I had done for my 60th birthday many years ago, engraved with carved steer head Ivory. It gets shot ALOT. Colt 1878 Lightning in .38.
I've been wanting to get these on for a while thanks Geezer!

Top pic is a pre-27, 5 screw .357 Handejector, then a 27-2 P&R round butt made about 1965. There are those that say this was never made,BUT here it is.
Next a 1933 Outdoorsman, the predecessor of the Registered Magnum. These are the guns old Elmer did the experiments on for Doug Wesson to make the RM. Along with the sought after 5 inch P&R 27-2.
Next picture is a .44 magnum Handejector. A Pre-29 in 4 inch! It wears it's original "Coke Grips". These grips are commonly selling for over $600. CRAZY! With it is a transitionl post war 44 handejector. This gun was reworked and refinished by the great Jim Clark.

.....awesome.....all the shiny stainless and the 2 "target" models.....you are killin me man.

The rebel flag....did someone do that for you or was it factory?

Guys, let me tell you. I'm not a big revolver fan, and I got to see a bunch of these in person yesterday. Man....these are some of the nicest guns I've ever seen. And some of those triggers.......make a 1911 guy drool, lol. Seriously, Billy has some AWESOME stuff. You need to make it to the CFF/Battery Oaks get together. It will be worth your time just to see some of these up close.

Thanks Stickman, we'll see you soon. I hope this anticipation continues on to October. This Gathering could become an annual thing we could all look forward to. I can't tell ya'll how much the "top brass" in CFF has helped this along. This, obviously could not happen without their blessing. They are most gracious.

I need an original set of Python grips. I inherited one and it had a set of huge hogue rubber grips that donā€™t belong. Itā€™s on the list...I have about a million things that always seem to come up first though

Whatā€™s the one Colt revolver a few posts up that has about a no inch barrel lol

some of you will take that 1lb trigger pull on the 45 blackhawk nonchalantly.... dont...

to give you an idea about a 1 lb trigger..... I held and dry fired that revolver yesterday.... you fart on that trigger and it goes bang...

Great thread with some very nice wheelguns.

Makes feel blasphemous and inadequate for carrying a Glock 27 today.

I must strive to do better tomorrow and most days this week.
o_O
Like @BatteryOaksBilly said upstream, we love our revolvers but carry our plastic disposables every day. But, a lot of times I'll carry a Model 36 or an Undercover as back up.

Thanks for sharing these with us.
There are so many of them that are on my want list, 27s and a SSA are at the top of my wants.

ronn47, they'll come, it takes a while, or it did for me. Stay focused and make your move, they show up occasionally. Took me 68 years to get the RM and Triplelocks. Geezer will throw some more on.

Good for YOU!!! You are right...get those condoms off that Colt!!! Go to Rogers Grips..just Google it. He'll solve any grip problem you have. He just finished 2 matching pairs of G-raff grips for a double engraving project I am in.
Look close at that no-inch Colt...itsa Ruger Lightweight I had done. Lotsa metal removed. The grips??? Somebody told me you couldn't put Colt SAA grips on a Blackhawk. Turns out you can. Yes..a 1 pound trigger that won't push off or malf. A delight! People say also, no way to get that kinda trigger on a newer Vaquero. J.D Jones's folks can and that blueing is like black chrome.

I'll have what she's having!

More classic S&Wā€™s :)

Is that a couple of .38/44 HDā€™s in the middle picture? Or maybe a couple of .44 specials?

Nice!

The grips fooled me

I have a few wheelguns (Colt, S&W, and Ruger) but I am no expert

Gonna PM you about another one

Top is a 6 1/2 inch P&R 29 and an Elmer Keith Comm. Middle is 2 TripleLocks. One Heavily "Mortified" with stag..a First year production serial number 1375. The other was made in 1912. These were the First N Frames, First 44 specials, the great TripleLocks, predecessor to the Handejector 44 Magnum, later to be the Mighty Model 29.
Last picture is a Model 14, in the middle a .22 Outdoorsman from 1933, and on the bottom a 4 inch Round Butt Model 12.

Top is a perfect pre12. Any marks you see are shadows. The best one I have ever seen, 5 screw made in 1953. With it is a 3 inch, round butt, K22.
Next is a doosey. Started life as a Model 58 in 41 mag of course. I wanted a revolver to be competitive in IPSC. I had it converted to 45acp. A fixed sight, round butt, 45 acp N frame, enclosed ejector rod, with a 6 1/2 pound double action. This gun was the centerpiece of an article by Massad Ayoob written about me and this gun in October 1988....30 years ago. This was in Pre Michelic Days. I had shot 12 rounds all As from 7 yards, from surrender [the old IPSC start], in 5.2 seconds. One of our folks was reading this article recently and pointed out that The Jerry could do this in about 3 seconds. I replied...He can't make false teeth...I can come closer to his job than he can mine!
And then there are those Ivory stocked Bottom Feeders, like anybody cares.....

And I will say that the Model 58 is amazing to handle and dry fire. @Stick Man and @DLam got to handle it. I describe the DA pull as it feels like the gun is broke on the inside. An unbelievable DA trigger pull.

What's the secret to the trigger?
