Grab a look. In 10 years THE medium of exchange will be this or something like it. Everyone will have a lightning address (again, or something like it), and transferring funds will be as simple and private as an encrypted email.
The gov will rage and fight against it (they always do) but the governments (like El Salvador) that get out ahead of this will prosper.
Wealth, true wealth, never "goes away" in a crisis. Speculative froth evaporates, of course, but the real things that make wealth... productivity, entrepreneurship, making and delivering goods and services, etc etc... those never "go away." They DO however, change hands.
My opinion is that we are about to see a massive shift of wealth, primarily west to east, but really all over. If I knew THE key to profiting here, I would just hoard it all myself. As it is, I think it is in concepts like hard asset based currency, digital transfer of same, rejection of leftist, marxist, "woke" nonsense and the scorning of national suicide it brings, the embrace of smaller countries at the expense of larger ones (including the breakup of our own?), and.... most weirdly, I think a lot of the "green agenda" will actually succeed. The problem with greenies is NOT their ideas. Cleaner food, cleaner air, more sustainable energy, less overall chemical/electronic pollution in our lives... these are all ideas everyone can, should and (imo) will embrace. The key to this is the VOLUNTARY and market driven success of these ideas vs the ham fisted and frightfully stupid state implementation of them. If the greens ever undergo a "twitter" type refurb of their house, so that they embrace individual liberty and market driven ideas, coupled with a digital engine to drive them, we will see such an eye popping increase in wealth and standard of living that the quantum leaps of the industrial age will look like a Calcutta slum by comparison.
Anyway, you should check out this address and get yourself a lightning address. No more paypal or venmo wanting to know "why are you sending this money.... YOU ARE NOT USING THIS TO BUY FORBIDDEN STUFF ARE YOU????" If you are really paranoid you can xfer Monero.
The IRS has upgraded its "bounty" to one million dollars for any code head who can "Break" the privacy settings on lightning network, by the way.
You should think about getting one.
