Nobody thought to question that people are just walking around with bleach in their pockets and ski masks on before the encounter, on a regular basis?
 
Now one of the guy's neighbors claims a couple of "rednecks" were hanging around outside the building nearly two hours before the alleged attack; never mind that Chicago has had record-setting cold weather in the last couple of days..
 
This story will be reported, repeated and referenced for the next year or so even without any proof to backup his claims just as the Russian Collusion has been as a cry for the left to fight Trump and his Fascist backers ... even if the Chicago Police, the FBI and such say they have no grounds to investigate further than just his and his manager’s stories.

So, should he be charged with a hate crime? Say conspiracy to incite a race riot, whatever the proper name for such a charge would be.

This is the thing right here. They can't even come up with a good lie. Not even the most diehard Trump-loving klansman would say that.

He'll get called out on it and the insightful-reflections tour will hit all the talk shows.
The View will piously ponder on just what made him lash out in this way. It can only be from some traumatic thing that happened during childhood when he was a victim again. Probably a white guy...most likely a Nixon voter. Once we get past the long-instilled euro-christian institutionalized racism in this country then we'll begin to understand why a gay black man would feel compelled to shed light on injustice in this fashion.

Colbert will belittle whites who are disparaged by this story as being akin to getting an unjust speeding ticket. Well, you speed all the time anyway so you deserve it.

For these people it's not about Juicy Smaltitt, or about them getting caught blankly endorsing another stupid lie and often with calls for 'justice' (violence).
It's another opportunity for them all to virtue signal their holiness again. Determined to stand for the weak, and spending extra for earth friendly toilet cleaner to use on the 3rd floor hall bath.

I figured it was a hoax to begin with. My deductions:

1. It's Chicago... not known for Rednecks, Trump Supporters or MAGA Hats
2. It was 2am... most racist rednecks are in bed
3. It was freezing... and cold.... no one was outside as the video survellience showed
4. A noose out of twine rope bought at Ace Hardware? Please... that is as worse as Tiki Torches for the KLAN

And the most poignant observation:
5. Two White Racist MAGA Homophobic Mouth Breathers are not going to watch Empire, know the cast and who they are to begin with.....

You forgot point #4.5: Noose still around his neck when police showed up....after going back to his apartment and waiting 40 minutes to call them.
99.9% of folks would not be able to get that thing off fast enough and police would have had to collect that particular evidence at the original scene. Who walks home with a noose around their neck?
