Watched this overly long, overly boring movie last night. It pales in comparison to the original Blade Runner. PK Dick is spinning in his grave, probably since the first movie which I think came out about 40 years ago. 2hrs 45 mins. I think it actually clocks in less than that. Typical long movie that probably went over budget and ends abruptly trying to tie up loose ends and makes no sense. $6 and almost 3 hrs I'll never get back. Glad I did not pony up to see in theater. I probably would have walked out or fallen asleep (which I did briefly last night while watching.

Wanna see it. Heard mixed reviews.

Have heard several that share your opinion! Bummer as I love the first one.

The original is so stylized and beautiful in its imagery. The "music" is perfectly matched to the video. I remember just going "wow" the whole time watching the original at the theater. Kinda like first Star Wars.

I watched it and then watched it again to fill in the gaps in the plot from the first viewing, though I liked it, didn't come close to the original

I thought that they tried too hard for this movie and I felt a bit let down at the end. I also am glad I didn't fork out the $$ at the movies. If I had to rate it i'd give it 2/5 stars.

Sucked. I liked the original, but this one sucked. As @jimmyjames8 points out, it's too damn long. All the long scenic shots from the first movie worked because it was our first exposure to that world. Doing the same shots the second time around just bores the viewer. I guess it might work for people who've never seen the first one, but not sure millenials and Gen Z'ers have the patience for such a long movie to begin with. And so many of the scenes are unnecessarily drawn out.

The kickass woman meme is getting old. And the love scene from the first one would qualify as sexual assault by today's standards. So today's movies just don't ring true to human experience.

Too long, too boring, and I'd comment on the ending, but truth be told, I've already forgotten it! And I'll remember the first long after I delete the remaining traces of the second from my memory banks.

If you are going to watch it in a theater, be prepared to surf the internet on your phone as you get bored. If you are going to watch at home, have your finger near the FFWD button.

tried to watch again last night and switch back and forth to the hockey game. Fell asleep again. Dont understand the jump from the police station to his apartment to seeing his sister for the first time in her glass room or did I fall asleep and miss something.

as y'all said, glad i didn't PAY for it.
went to the library and checked out the FREE DVD.
with all the rain we've been having, it made the inside
chores less boring, but not by much.

Just finished it on HBO.
I didnt care too much for it.
Saw the original, didnt think this lived up to that one.

So what happened with Jared Leto's character?
WAS he the brother of the daughter?
Was the 'girlfriend' setting him up by bringing the hooker up?
I dont know, it really doesnt matter. I dont think I'll be watching again or recommending it.

HMP...as you said...really doesn't matter....over and out.
