There was only one 2 people on the other site that I didn't really care for thier online personalities but I have never Acually blocked anyone,

I deal with enough stupidity in life.

FB, forums, they're my escape, I cruise them to relax, keep up with old friends, and maybe learn something. If I can make it more pleasant by blocking someone or in the case of FB unfriending them, I do it.

On forums it's typically because someone constantly asks for opinions/advice and then argues with what they receive everytime, or makes five more threads asking the same thing.

One of my big cues is when I can predict the (typically garbage) content before I read it. If that's the case, I probably don't need to read it...
 
FYI

Turns out the Ignore function does work. There are two places under User Settings that appear to be an Ignore function, the one for the forum is User Settings, Account at the bottom of the page.

It works.
