From what I understand, I can sport a blue star for every member of my family that participated in a war up to 4 stars. I just bought this 3 star front tag for my car and want to make sure I'm correct.
My Grandfather served in Germany in WW2 in the army infantry for 2 years, honorable discharge.
Came home, I guess he didn't like my Grandmother and reenlisted in the Army Air Corp till then sent him home.
Father served in Korea, infantry as a bullet stopper, survived.
Myself, Vietnam at the end of the war, they sent me to Germany instead.
My son, Desert Storm and survived.
I'm allowed to sport these 3 blue starts right?IMG_20230826_191017065.jpg

I always thought they were for actively serving members.

My understanding also.

Thanks for the clarification, I guess I read the requirements incorrectly. I will remove the front the tag off my car right now.. Thanks again guys. It does look nice on the front of the all white and red corvette. Maybe I will sport an American flag instead to give it some blue.

The only permanent star is a Gold one for immediate family members killed in wartime action. My wife flew a Blue Star flag while I was away in Afghanistan and we both hd one when my son was there. Retired both when we returned home.
