Bosch: Legacy

It looks like it's going to be more about the daughter. I liked the original Bosch because of him and some of the other characters on the show.

I had misgivings but this looks good. I’m glad that poppa Bosch is still in the series. Will watch for sure.

I wonder if they’ll change the theme song?

If you are a fan of the books like me you will see that Bosch doesn't give up on trying to solve crimes. He should be active here too.

The Ballard and Bosch series is good too.

Bosch was one of the better series on Prime, looking forward to seeing his character without the constraints of being a cop.

I will start reading these.

Awesome. I’ll need a new book series when I get done with Odd Thomas.

Hope they’re available on audible.

The Bosch series of books, followed by the Reacher books are probably my top series and one of the few I'll choose to re-read.

This is the logical progression of the series and think it will be good with the Ballard series and adding his daughter in. Honestly, I think Connelly is going to have a hard time killing off Bosch... it'll either be epic, or he's going to get "Dexter'd" and I'll be pissed.

Two of my go to's as well. Also John Sandford's characters.

I like Sanford's books as well, CJ Box's Joe Pike series is good too, and I'd put it above Longmire.

Matthew Scudder series by Lawrence Block is almost as good as Bosch and I'd like to see it turned into a series

Had to do a search to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Joe Pike is a Robert Crais character, part of the Elvis Cole books…which I really like.

I’ve never read anything by CJ Box, but apparently there’s a Joe Pickett series.

Just finished the first episode. I like it, but the theme song sucks compared to the original. I also just finished reading The Wrong Side of Goodbye so I know where things will head this season. Still fun to see how they end up changing things.

I also liked seeing familiar characters and I saw Barrel in the next episode. Must mean Crate will be there too?

Will start this series tonight. Really enjoyed Bosch.

Watched two episodes several days ago, and on my second one for today.

Honestly, if I hadn’t seen the trailer, I would’ve thought it was the next season of the original series…just with a different theme song/opening credits.

The theme song is not as good as the original. We've watched 3 episodes, so far. I keep looking for J Edgar and Crate and Barrel. Bosch's new oriental IT guy is pretty cool. And, I'm still wanting his XJ.

I have no idea why, but I thought the whole season had dropped so I started watching a couple of days ago and was totally surprised on Friday to see nothing new available after episode 6. In addition to not liking weekly episode drops, I've re-discovered my hate for commercials, limited or not.

I'm really enjoying it so far, and like BW said, it's seems like a continuation of the original series. I hope we'll continue to see the same quality since Connelly is still at the helm.

We got caught up on the available episodes. I was happy to see Crate and Barrel show up, and then J Edgar and the Sgt from the original series.

So best I can tell, all episodes (10) have been released. I just finished the last one.

And everything I read shows Season 2 was already confirmed.

If the next season follows closely to the book (Wrong Side of Goodbye), then Maddie may be in for one horrible fate.

We're halfway through, and you can tell it's filmed during covid. Scenes have less people in them, less camera angles, less locations, etc.

Not bad, but not as good as the originals just do to lots of characters missing.

It's strange that they give a nod to covid (glimpses of stuff in newspapers, cut scenes with people in masks, etc) but don't reference it in the show directly. Why even do that, just pretend it's in an alternate timeline or something and not worry about it vs. the strange subtle hints?

The show will be watched in re-runs long after the Covid nonsense is forgotten. Producers don't want to date a show like that.

Just realized S2 of this was released in Oct & Nov. I need to check it out.

It’s good stuff. I like how they changed some stuff from the books and added more new things and characters for the show to keep it interesting. Honey Chandler being alive in this universe opens more story possibilities.

Thanks for the reminder. We did S2 E1 tonight.

Watched the first four episodes (of S2) today. Enjoying it.

Finished it last night. We enjoyed it, looking forward to next season.
