Bought our first travel trailer for family camp outs...

My friend bought a new camper and headed to Carolina Pines the first week. Tire on camper blew out on a pothole. He said his AC froze up also. 13,000 btu for a 36’ camper with people running in and out is not going to cut it. Prewired for a second AC but that was optional. Back it went for $1250 AC. Yeah buy better tires after the first year.

Presuming that you have a 30a, 120v “RV” style plug, a generator that puts out 3600 or more continuous watts should have adequate power for your needs

The Horror Freight 2000 watt Honda clones that let you gang two together should work for your needs and be a low price point. Your largest draw is the air conditioner at 1800 watts or so. Whatever you get I’d suggest something that is very quiet.
Thank you! I've heard that the Honda generators are the quietest. I'll start looking at getting a generator.

Honda inverter generators are great; one of ours is the EU 6500 and it has 3000 mostly trouble free hours on it right now.

I’ve never owned one but heard a lot of good reports on the Horror Freight Honda clones.

You must just be tired of having money. Next you'll ask for knife recommendations
Who needs money when you have excellent credit?

Now, talk to me about knives!

Just kidding... No more knives.

We had a great weekend at Poplar Point, at Jordan Lake. I'm getting ready to hook up, dump tanks, and pull it all the way home (8 miles).

Everything works, nothing broke, I haven't backed it into anything (yet)... And, my wife has already booked our next adventure at Brunswick Beach Campground at Sunset Beach in a couple of weeks...
Are there any nudist campgrounds in your future😂

My wife was looking at the website for Whispering Pines near Ocean Isle Beach.

Two of our best nudist friends from California, a married couple, recently moved to Idaho or Ohio or somewhere and built a nudist camp ground. They own it and run it. We might have to head that way and visit.

Hopefully not to be confused with Whispering Pines Farm sawmill in New Hill, NC..... On the other hand, some nudists walking around might liven things up a bit around here! LOL

Towed Trailers for 30+ years haven't seen it mentioned yet. Check lug nuts often and torque to manufactures spec. especially with aluminum wheels. Driven everything from tractor trailers to jon boat trailers a wheel coming off or even loose is a vacation ender real quick.

Pulled my camper to Myrtle Beach State Park this weekend. It was a good time.

Pre-pull rituals showed I had one tire on the camper that was a little more slack than the other three. This was a little concerning. Some may not have thought so, but the others were only down one to two pounds since last month. This one was down almost seven. Was looking for 65psi cold. This was the rear tire on the door side of the camper.

Does anyone want to guess which tire blew out today on the way back from the park? Anyone?

So yeah, even though these tires are only two years old, they are all getting replaced before heading to Waxhaw next month.

Congrats on your new camper looks to be a nice one! If you store it parked on concrete very long get some scrap pieces of plywood to park it on. Something about parking trailer tires on concrete long term makes them more prone to separate at the tread and blow out. Blowouts or seperating tires on a camper = $$$ usually repairing the damage so prevent it if you can.

Speaking of tires, mine were Castle Rock, aka China Bombs, but they were load rated D.

The sticker on the side of the camper says gvwr 3121lbs.

When I get new tires, it's there a reason I can't go to an E load rated tire?

I passed right by you to eat dinner with dad at Damon's.

Not at all as long as it fits your wheels.

Absolutely get them. Peace of mind. I have a single axle trailer I built. 6x12. 3500lb axle. Yep. E rated tires.
