Brass catch?

Got a Caldwell version for Christmas that rail mounts. Works great but I only shot a mag at a time before emptying. Never tried it with what they say it will hold.

Didnt know they had a rail mount version, thanks.

Caldwell rail-mounted net gizmo, not the strap-on.
That looks much less finicky than the strap-on brass catchers.

The netting isn't great, but it would be easy to fix that, and maybe Caldwell will do so if they get enough feedback:

I didn't watch the video but I've read that larger calibers can get hot enough to melt the net. .223 or 5.56 don't seem to. For me anyway.

Flawless operation so far.

I used a 1/4x20 coupler and attached it to an old lighting tripod.

I've got the velcro version (notice how I avoided the term "strap on") and it sucks. It's 8$ on amazon and the Pic rail version is $35, which is basically the same thing but actually works. Man they really jacked the price up just to get one that works.

I have the rail mount and the strap on. Rail mount wouldn't fit under my scope on one of my rifles so I had to get the strap on for that one. They both work pretty good

If you have rail space on top of your rifle, add a case deflector:

It drops your brass into a pile right in front on your rifle. I use one of these when I shoot NRA/CMP highpower matches so I don't have to chase my brass when shooting in-position with a sling.

The only other cheaper option that I've used is a $5 blue tarp from Harbor Freight

It's a good thing you phrased that carefully.

I've the $8 UTG velcro unit, after I stapled in a middle section of a qt plastic oil bottle, it's been great for years.
