I have been collecting brass for several years now anticipating getting into reloading. Took the NRA course with John Z but never jumped in. Now I need to get rid of this stuff. Can some of you reloaders give me an idea of what a good deal on this would be for either sale or trade? Was going to just send it to Freedom Munitions but the are not taking brass at this time. Mixed headstamps. In Cary. Weighed using a home scale so not real sure of accuracy, but make it a good enough deal that it will not matter! Is it worth messing with or just take it to scrap?

    9mm ---- 47.5 pounds
    .223 ---- 15.5 pounds (some 5.56 but assuming .223 is less valuable, let's call it all .223)
    .45 ---- 8 pounds
    .40 ---- 10.5 pounds
    .380 ---- 2.5 pounds

    Thanks

Is it cleaned? If not, indoor or outdoor pickup?

Not cleaned. Indoor and outdoor. Probably even mix.

Depends on what you get for scrap. If over a buck I’d probably scrap it all.

    I'll check. Thanks.

ETA. Looks like 1.36 per pound. Seems a waste but it needs to go. Thanks for the info Jim.

This brass is now gone and I have freed up some room to get more stuff.
