Brett Kavanaugh Senate Kabuki Theater

Things are changing, people are opening their eyes to the truth

That's how it starts.

Folks were scratching their heads or losing their minds in November of 2016. "How could this happen?"

Tell ya how it happened....discontent; discontent with the stalemate we've been dealing with for decades between Republicans and Democrats. People got angry, anger turned to motivation and motivation effected a change. It was a referendum. Who's to blame for Trump being elected? Simple; 'status quo' Rs and Ds.

And now, those on the left believe there's gonna be some sorta 'blue wave' in November because of this entire confirmation process. There will be a wave, but it's gonna look more like the water after Jaws nabbed a surfer and it will be that way, based a good bit, on how the Democrats have conducted themselves for the last 3 or 4 weeks.

The embers of Nov 2016 were still hot...they just tossed gasoline on them.

While I detest how Kavanaugh was treated during this process, it's good that it occurred so close to the midterms.

I'm not going to hold my breath on this, but I am hoping that voters showing their discontent at the ballot box...past, present and future, will cause both Republicans and Democrats to actually start listening to 'the people', reassess the course we're on and change it.

My wife and I call that game “not my president.”

I irritate my wife when I point people out on crowds and say “I bet Trump isn’t his/her president.”

Not sure if it irritates her that I’m being judgmental or if it’s because I’m probably right.

Ok the Sunday morning talking-head idiot-box shows are gearing up and they have their snakes ready.

The Dems lost. They lost stupendously, obviously, publicly, and with extreme blow-back. No amount of spin can warp that into a positive.
So they get their wise superior-than-thou hats on and pontificate; "How did our country become so divided? Why can't we get along? Geez...we're trying but there's 'obstacles' that keep rearing their ugly head and keeping us all hating each other".

The tone and implication is blatantly obvious. They arrogantly blame the 'deplorables' for instilling hatred within the populace, and most especially the leaders of the deplorables, old angry white racist bigoted men. This small group of people represents all that is terrible, and quite frankly, evil people that refuse to let go of their white male privileged power. And thankfully, one day all these people will die off and then we can move forward with love and harmony.
It's another whitelash from a small minority that over-rides the will of the majority using a fixed white-man system. Simple.

They accept zero responsibility. Zero. Nothing can be laid at their door, absolutely nothing.
At first you look at them with that sideways dog-look of confusion...how can you possibly be in such denial? It's beyond belief yet they continue to gleefully put all their eggs in that same old basket with all the holes, and then become infuriated when shown that the basket has huge holes and they're stupidly breaking all the eggs.
There's nothing wrong with the basket! We say so, the media says so, and so do the majority of the American people the media has selected to present our case. Now just sit down and shut up!
And it would be nice if you'd just die already too so we can move forward with understanding and compassion.

More than retarded policy, ridiculous pie-in-the-sky arguments...the arrogance is astounding.

Unfortunatly this fight is far from over. Pelosi is already trying to get her grubby hands on the "failed" FBI report and has stated as soon as they win in November they will start the process of removing Kav off of SC. If we lose in the midterms ( a real possibility if past is any forecaster) the dems are going to make this whole thing look like an ant hill.

And, the media only focuses on the Trump haters trying to make it look like everyone hates him. But when Trump has a rally, the place is packed to the rafters. And, I never remember another president having a rally unless it was right before an election. Trump has them all the time. Yes, we have an election coming up in a few weeks but Trump is rallying all the time. He's winning and getting some things done, not all he promised, but he's making progress. All this, while fighting the media, Republicans, and Democrats. Just imagine how much he could do if he had a little support from some of these people.

The irony of marxists, whose game plan is built on sowing division and rancor, seemingly innocently asking why the country is divided.

It's just more propaganda.

What they're really wondering is why are some people so resistant to their ideology. And why don't all peoples of European Christian ancestry hate themselves given that the marxists in education have been pushing that agenda since the end of WW2. And why are some minorities and women still not part of Team Marx.

If The Senate majority stays with the Republicans then they can impeach but it will all be for naught

I love what Sen. Kennedy from Louisiana said about Pelosi yesterday. It was hilarious. Fox asked him what he thought about some idiotic comment Pelosi had just made.

He shook his head and said, "I probably shouldn't say this, butttt... billy goat brains and mocking bird mouth."

:D:p;)

Article 1, Section 3 of our Constitution says the Senate needs a 2/3 vote to convict and remove.
That's 67 votes needed.
Dems getting a simple majority will not work.

That is rich and very true. I will have to remember that.

Jordan Peterson totally cucked out - he tweeted: ‘If confirmed Kavanaugh should step down’.

@NKD, like I said, he's at best a pink pill, but he's far from red pill. I listened to that cuck a few times, then realized he was too compromised.

Yep...hence why impeachment is just going to be a sham

A friend of mine went to the Johnson City, TN rally. It was not just packed. They turned a lot of people away. They went hours early to get in line just to get in the door.

Pelosi better be careful (I think she mentioned Freedom of Information Act) ... some Senators reactions make me think release of that report will backfire. The was mention of that Keyser might have said something about being pressured by the Ford side to bend a little on her statement. A couple GOP Senators said it might be nice to release it while Feinstein and some others from the Dums want to only release bits and pieces for some reason. There has been mention of the leak being investigated (I’m still betting on Ford’s attorneys ... with a possible Feinstein connection Jennifer Duck’s hand maybe) and with possible witnesses tampering on the Dums part that could erode bring crap to the surface that would actually be nice to hear. Either way it really would not hurt the GOP or Kavanuagh but Ford and the Dums ... who knows?

At the risk of being a total ass, all these pictures show us why at least one Amendment should be repealed. It also coincides to when the Marxists first started getting their hold on the US.

AND....show us a lot of sandwiches not being made. Just sayin'.

You see something similar when looking at pics of the pro-"refugee" rallies in Western Europe.

Much easier to lead people by emotion than logic and reason.

I assume you mean the one giving woperdaughters the vote and not the one about free speech or freedom of assembly.

Woperdaughters. What a marvelous word. It was coined by a fellow writing for the University of Tennessee Daily Beacon back in the 1970's, if I remember correctly from all those years ago. He was attempting to call women what they wanted to be called. The word "women" contained "men" and was unsuitable. He then tried woperson, but it contained son, a male term. The obvious conclusion was that women wanted to be called woperdaughter because it contained no male terms. He used that term
in all his articles from then on.

That would be a great start. Also need to end senatorial elections, shut down the fed and the dept of education, etc.

I told my wife tonight that when Trump was running how irritated I was with his silly “You will get tired of winning” crap...

Fast forward 2 years the orange bugger keeps winning...
From a FoxNews article yesterday:

Second, the biggest winner is President Trump.
Notch another victory on his belt. The score after about 21 months in office is Trump 100, Democrats 0. Against all odds, Trump just keeps winning.

Remember this week Trump also won the Mexico-Canada trade battle; unemployment dropped to the lowest level since 1969; Hispanic unemployment dropped to the lowest ever; manufacturing jobs growth was the best since 1995, and Trump’s approval rating soared to 51 percent in the latest Rasmussen survey. Polls show Republicans pulling away in Senate races across the country. Add in the Kavanaugh victory and this was the best week of the Trump presidency.

Trump continues to teach us all lessons about #WINNING. In Trump’s world, it’s all about the fight and your fighting spirit. It’s all about your ability to bare-knuckles brawl.

This battle for the Supreme Court played out exactly like my upcoming book, “Trump Rules.” My book isn’t about politics. It’s about the rules that have empowered President Trump to become one of the greatest achievers and winners in history. The “Trump Rules” are simple. Winning isn’t about brains, or IQ, or brilliant ideas, or unique strategy.

Winning is all about being a relentless fighter. Being a bulldog. Being a bull in a china shop. It’s about fighting spirit. It’s about believing in yourself and your goals. It’s about fighting so hard, so passionately, you never let go until victory is achieved.

It’s about who wants it more. Trump always wants it more.

That’s what Trump is all about -- the fight. Sure, you get bruised and battered and slandered. Sure, it hurts. But anything worth having is worth fighting for.

Trump proved it in the 2016 election. He was attacked, denigrated, slandered, and humiliated more than any politician in world history. But he never backed down. Instead, he doubled down. He came right back at his critics. Winston Churchill said, “When you find yourself in hell, just keep going.” Trump just kept going…and fighting.

And after being called all those bad names, and all that slander, for the rest of all-time, he’s called “President Donald J. Trump.” Was it worth it? You bet it was.

Churchill also said, “Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never...” That rule is more important than anything else.

It’s the reason Trump keeps getting his brains beat in and yet always comes out ahead. He’s bloody, dizzy, staggering, but his arms are raised in victory. You can’t beat Trump, because you can’t outlast Trump.

I definitely think he's "doubled down" more than any leader (at any level) in recent history...and that's been fun to watch.

Democrats don't think they will remove anyone from office, but they do want daily, gavel-to-gavel media coverage of their never-ending gripe-fest.

Maybe. They certainly don’t have the any historical support for it.

But at what point do you think they suck the drive out of their base by constantly lying to them about what they will do and claiming to be victims of the R’s? Based on the cycles I have seen on our side I think it’s coming.

You assume the liberal base operates on fact and reason rather than feelings and emotion. If claims are accepted without analysis, they can never be recognized as lies.

The liberal base has been driven by a constant media narrative. As long as someone pays for the protests that the media adoringly endorses, much of the enthusiasm will be sustained in the hardcore base.

The right spent decades playing nice in the face of liberal asshatery. We got fed up and voted in the largest asshat ever on our team who could not only take their foolishness. But triple dog dare them to serve him up some more. And they are losing, and losing bad.

The only salvation I see for the left is for moderates to step up, shut down the Bookers. Feinstein’s, and Pelosis, and come to the table again with a renewed and sincere desire to reach across the isle.

The right hired the biggest and baddest dude on the playground as a bodyguard. Fighting him won’t work. Making him unecessary might.

I’m assuming the base wants results. Words without results, particularly when combined without a real effort to see them through, are the lies I’m talking about. A lot like the R’s treated the Tea Party.

Fighting him won’t work.
Fighting nationalists is deeply instinctual for marxists (and fighting American nationalism is natural for neocons), which is why the left and media (and even his own party during the primary, and some even afterward), went into rabid dog attack mode when Trump rode to victory on an America-first platform.

Take away his nationalist views and you eliminate the fervor and hatred of Trump down to normal levels of hatred for Republicans (which, as we have seen in the case of neocon John McCain, can become almost love when he is contrasted with a nationalist).

What made Trump improbably successful on an America-first agenda in a country where a large % of the host population has been indoctrinated to hate itself is that he is a force of nature. And the article talks about some of the aspects of his character that make him so resolute in the face of endless mockery, vitriol, hatred and demonization.

But what animates the opposition is not the man, but the message. Remember, he was a Hollywood celebrity before he started talking this (dangerous to marxist agenda) America-first message. He just happens to be the right messenger for this time, but eventually, to preserve America, we will need more nationalists in government and other aspects of public life.

The good news is Kavanaugh doesn't believe concealed carry laws violate the Second Amendment......

So.....the 2nd is definitely safe with this guy....

If we are going to be honest with ourselves, most state constitutions read this way too. Ours has read that way since 1868 at least. I'm fine changing that. But it's an opinion based on a lot of case law.

I can see why. The 2nd does not say concealed. At that time no one concealed. Later on in time to conceal was frowned upon and was considered nefarious.

Now we conceal to keep the sheeple heads from exploding.
