I've needed these before but only once. Ended up throwing the small pile into the trailer by hand. Well, this time the job involves a lot of roots in loose dirt. The dump said to keep the dirt to a minimum. So...
  • 3hrs last night cutting and tack weld the pieces.
  • 2hrs today on final welding and a hold down strip.
  • Drill the holes for mounting bolts.
Bam! A $33 bolt-on set of root forks. Still need the 45deg cap pieces put on the ends of the forks. Holds my 195lbs of fatness without bending.

Don't look too close at the welds...:confused: They're not beautiful but they sure are solid!
